    We've made it!
    Well, we almost made it.
Sorry for any of you who had tickets to see the Return of Serge.
    Zoom, it is.
Sure 2021 wasn't a banner year for our Raps.
Hard to believe, speaking of Serge, the Championship run was just 2 years ago.
    Alas, this year....not so much.
    Injuries, illnesses, surgeries, suspensions.
    And oh yeah....

That other big thing that derailed the season

    But enough doom and gloom.
    2021 wasn't all bad.
In fact, some things about it just make me feel like dancing

And, like the dawn of a new year, even this final hurrah of 2021 brings some promise

Hopefully we can get a preview of the group that is going to make a big run in 2022.
And if they make it to finals,
it's looking less and less that they're going to see these guys
    Player Name Status Reason
Paul George Out Elbow UCL tear
    Nicolas Batum Out Ankle sprain
Kawhi Leonard Out ACL injury recovery
    Ivica Zubac Out Covid protocols
    Jason Preston Out Foot injury
    Jay Scrubb Out Covid protocols
    Moses Wright Out Covid protocols
Brandon Boston Jr. Out Covid protocols
    Isaiah Hartenstein Out Covid protocols
Reggie Jackson Questionable Return to competition reconditioning
Much like I can't hazard a guess at the Raptors starting lineup tonight,
I won't even try to guess who the Clippers bring over the border.

Any chance good ol' Number 2 makes the trip to cheer on the sidelines?
My head says he won't for all the obvious reasons.
My heart says he may have enough unused Shoppers Optimum Points to make it worth his while.
    We'll see.

    In either case,
I like what this guy said

So pop what ever bubbly you've got,
say goodbye to what ever you want to for 2021,
make all your resolutions for 2022.
But however it goes, here's a guaranteed prediction for 2022.
The Raps will either be the NBA Champions...
or the only legitimate Reigning NBA Champions.

    Go Raps!

    New year, New Raptors!

Hard to believe we could be at the full roster for the first time, when just last week we had rec league guys playing big minutes. Pascal and OG still have not shared the floor this year I believe.

Should see a steady diet of Ibaka tonight, he hasn't been getting many minutes lately but with Zubac out he should be in rotation.

Fred/GT/OG/Barnes/Pascal have played in 3 games total.

They lost to Brooklyn by 13.
They lost to Boston by 16.
They lost to Portland by 5.

In fairness.. they didn't have Khem in the first two.. and didn't have Precious in the 3rd. And Pascal was just coming back from rehab.

How the hell did he injured his knee? he hasn't played a game in 10 days.

Tendinitis is more like a chronic injury, so it's probably wear & tear. Barnes leads all rookies in MPG and is #8 overall in the league, behind FVV (#1).

                      It's still 2021. Blame 2021.

(Be very, very nice to 2022 for crying out loud.)

Whatever man. There's always something going on with Scottie. If it's not his hip, it's his finger, ankle, now knee. He seems very fragile. Hope he's not OG 2.0.

And 2 of those were Covid protocols.

Dude injured his hip in the first Summer League game. Tweaked his ankle or knee in the 2nd summer league game. Tweaked his ankle earlier in the season. Injured his finger against the Pacers and missed 2 games. Re-injured the same finger against the Pacers. You want me to keep going?
