  • Game # ...1...below .500 Spurs at Raps Tuesday Jan 4th 7pm on SN

    Ahhh Spurs at Raptors!
    The history!

Won't it be great to see....
    ummm..
    Poeltl?
And, um...that draft pick is now 3rd in the league in 3pt%

    But enough of that.
Because, as a wise person said

    We're good.

But now onto game #..1...below .500

After some tumultuous times (cough, cough, cleveland, cough)
we are now within a game of .500

And it might be nice to get this one because..

That's the next game coming up.
    And then

Mixx..start getting your thread starting mojo going.

    Hmm.
Think we need a bit more optimism than that.
    Sure, Ontario is shutting down.
And the "Canadian Conspiracy" continues with the NBA shifting Kyle's return to TO 2 days earlier.
But our Raps are whole again and riding high on a two gamer.

    As another wise man said,

    Go Raps

Last season, after 34 games we were 17-17.

But then everything fell apart. Hopefully this year it’s just coming together

And were rolling, having recovered from that awful start, up until we got smashed by COVID.

This season we are right there AFTER the COVID smash. Which admittedly could still happen again, but I expect it will need to if last season's end results are to repeat themselves.

This is why we hopefully are going to make our big push the rest of the season.

Last year we got hit hard after .500. This year we’re almost .500 after getting hit hard.

The 2-8 start did them in. They were 2-8 with everyone healthy. Played pretty good basketball after that to get to .500 and then fell apart when COVID hit.

This season they hovered around .500 through Pascal's and other various injuries to key guys and getting hit by COVID. Now we finally have everyone healthy.

Hard to gauge the effect of health this year because almost every team has been hit one way or another. It’s almost like the NBA season will be re-starting from zero once the latest Covid wave rolls through.

Yeah, we've had our fair share of good fortune as well this year, including tonight, the spurs will be missing their best player in Murray, as well as some other rotation pieces.

Can we finally make it to .500? Feels like we're always on the cusp and then something crappy happens.
