Ok...it's not exactly the gold ball.
But you take your victories where you can.
When Pascal went down with his shoulder surgery, we knew we would have to start the season with out him.
Sure we drafted a promising rookie at 4 but he was going to be played off the floor as a non shooter.
Then OG missed half the season for a practice injury.
And then...protocols. Here's looking at you Slim Duck.
So to be at .500 nearly halfway through the season...not that bad.
Sort of like a starting point again.
We weathered the storm.
Now LFG.
Quick turnaround here at the Republic.
As you may have noticed, the Raps won again.
And while we're on a roll of things wise men said..
That's three wins in a row
(haven't done that since halloween)
Justin C hit his career high in 3's
(worked another 3 in there)
And that guy is also pretty good at 3's
#3 OG is back (you almost forget how useful is he is)
And don't forget..Scottie got his first triple double last night.
At least I think he did. He was on pace after 3 quarters at 7/7/7
I'm sure he got there easily with a few easy passes to the rim.
But while 3 is awesome....dare we go for four?
Standing in the way is our old friends, the Milwaukee Bucks (am I the only one that can never spell Milwaukee right on the first try?)
It may be tough.
Last night we made Jakob Poeltl look like Giannis.
Who are we going to make Giannis look like tonight?
And don't look now but tonight's back to back game starts a gauntlet of 8 games in 14 days against the
Bucks/Jazz/Pellies/Suns/Pistons/Bucks/Heat/Mavs.
I hope we're all still friends after that.
I'm calling 7 wins and a loss to the Pistons.
So maybe we should live in the now and take a moment to enjoy
So bring on the Bucks.
They know what's waiting for them.
On an unrelated but tangentially Raptors related note..
I mean.....a crunch time shot clock malfunction involving the Sacramento Kings?!
Go Raps.
