    Game Notes:

    • The Toronto Raptors begin a three-game Western Conference road trip Sunday evening in Los Angeles. The team will also stop in Sacramento and Utah. The last time Toronto visited the L.A. Lakers (Dec. 8, 2013) the Raptors had 11 players available and were on the verge of a key seven-player trade with Sacramento. Since that trade the Raptors are 54-25 (.683) and have the best record in the Eastern Conference during that span (Dec. 9, 2013-Nov. 28, 2014). Toronto has never won consecutive road games against the Lakers.
    • Toronto continues to lead the Eastern Conference standings with a 13-3 record and have a 2.5 game lead over Washington. The Raptors are 4-2 against the top-8 in the East with wins against Washington, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Cleveland. Toronto is 2-1 against the top-8 teams in the West with wins against Memphis and Phoenix. The Raptors are 7-0 this season against teams under .500.
    • The first month of the 2014-15 season will go down as the most successful in team history. The Raptors’ 13 wins is the most achieved in any month (previous 11 wins – Jan. 2014, Jan. 2002 and Mar. 1999) and will mark the team’s sixth consecutive month with a winning record going back to Dec. 2013. Toronto will also finish the month with the fewest losses in October/November in team history (6 losses in 1999).
    • After finishing October/November with a 9-2 record at home the Raptors will play five of eight games (Nov. 30- ec. 14) on the road. The Raptors are 4-1 on the road for the first time in team history after posting a franchise-best 22 road wins last season. The team’s longest road winning streak is five games (2X - last: Nov. 14-Dec. 1, 2001).
    • DeMar DeRozan left Friday’s game vs. Dallas at the 8:23 mark of the third quarter with a torn left adductor longus tendon (groin) and is out indefinitely. In six seasons with Toronto, the Los Angeles native has missed 11 games out of a possible 394 contests (10 games due to injury). DeRozan is the only player in team history to start all 82 games twice (2010-11 and 2012-13). He missed two games in 2013-14 with a sprained left ankle/foot, three games with a sore left ankle in 2011-12 and five games in 2009-10 with a sprained right ankle. DeRozan rested for one game Apr. 14, 2014 vs. Milwaukee prior to the start of the playoffs. Toronto is 8-3 overall when DeRozan does not play. He has never missed a game against his hometown teams (L.A. Lakers or L.A. Clippers).
    • Kyle Lowry led the team with 25 points during Friday’s 106-102 loss vs. Dallas. Lowry and LeBron James are the only players in the East averaging 15.0 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds. Lowry has scored 20+ points in three of the last five games (Nov. 19-28).
    • Guards Lou Williams and Greivis Vasquez have shot a combined for a .492 (31-63) FG%, .454 (15-33) 3FG% and .833 (15-18) FT% the last three games (Nov. 24-28). They are averaging 30.6 points off the bench for the Raptors second-unit.
    • Toronto is 11-0 this season when leading after three quarters. Dating back to the start of last season, the Raptors are now 46-2 when ahead entering the fourth, including a perfect 27-0 at Air Canada Centre. Toronto has won 36 straight games when leading after three quarters. The Raptors have outscored opponents in the fourth quarter in 11-of-15 games this season and lead the NBA with a +57 (398-to-341) scoring differential in the final quarter.

Vasquez would be an odd choice based on the matchup. Rather see JJ come in on Kobe to start, and then stagger the assignment between JJ and Ross. Don't like the idea of GV guarding Wesley to start (or Lowry on Kobe).

Even Patterson and playing big might be preferable to start.

A high scoring offense vs an atrocious defense.

Seems like a recipe for the raptors to score 120+

This is as easy game as there is. Lakers are TERRIBLE. This should be a blowout with or w/out DeRozan. If the Raps lose tonight they're in trouble.

GV seems like obvious choice to me. Provides ball handling, size and occasional range shooting. Casey sacrifices defense for offense pretty often.

But then who's gonna be the backup PG?
Lou is not a PG at all he's a scorer.
