GV's defence doesn't overly concern me on the whole but in a match up against a Lakers team that does all its scoring from the wing it seems a poor choice. Lakers can only win if Kobe goes off, so stopping him should be priority 1. GV can't really match up at the SF spot. JJ makes the most sense.

Against the lakers, GV should be okay defensively, and he's capable of curling around screens and attacking the rim the way DD did.
It makes more sense than playing Lou. Lou is better than he has any right to be defensively but the last thing you want is for him to be caught on a switch with Kobe. Dude is just too small.
Another key to the game is attack and trap Justin Lin's dribble. You can turn him over.
