I mean you know my position on this, that we were taking Koloko at 20, and that the trade for Jak was about the next 4 years, not the performance from this core at the end of the year.

Maybe not Koloko but they had a lot of players in the same tier as Koloko (at 20) and he dropped. He may not have been their #1 option on that list, but he was the one that fell.

People are focusing on the trade deadline, which came back to roost, but the other big problem is that we kept betting FRPs to give the core help to evaluate them fairly. A lot of people knew years ago that a Fred/OG/Pascal core wasn't getting you anywhere except the middle.

No, as I've been exceedingly clear about, Masa was talking about the guys they received real offers for, OG and Pascal.

I haven't said anything about that. I just said the deals worth taking at the deadline were the offers for OG and Pascal, which anyone could have told you heading into the deadline.
