They were reports that Lebron might sit one of the back to back for the lakers before the suns game... Maybe he got enough rest in the blow out but i wouldn't be surprised if we see a russell westbrook lead team tonight. Like many said above, dont think lebron is intrested in taxing his body to get bounced in round 1. Just looking to chip away at Kareem

I can see Lebron looking at the list of tall defenders that will guard him in this game and not get out of bed this morning.

Only has to hit 58 games to stay in the hunt for PPG leader, so he can pick and choose 9 games out of the Lakers' remaining 15 (if that truly is a consideration). Curious to see if he picks the 9 worst defensive teams in there. Have to imagine the Raps would not be ideal, nevermind on a back to back.

The fracture was awhile ago.... he was playing through pain for months, apparently. The 2 weeks was just a timeframe they mentioned for re-evaluation. Not sure if they knew it was fractured way back, or if they just caught it on a scan over the all-star break. Either way, not a good look for the medical staff.

Russ checking to see how close he is to a triple double.
"2019: Westbrook set the NBA record with 11 consecutive triple-doubles. Three of the four longest such streaks in league history belong to him.

In May 2021, Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook became the undisputed king of the triple doubles. He scored his record-breaking 182nd triple double in a tight 125-124 loss against the Atlanta Hawks. Westbrook scored his very first triple double in March 2009 while playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

As collated by Reddit user u/AyoOwl, Russell Westbrook has a record of 150 wins and 40 losses when scoring a triple-double, thus garnering a 73.7% win percentage when putting up a triple-double."

So his selfish play is not entirely ....selfish. Might well go down as the most talented player ever to (never) win a chip though. Kind of a douche every time you hear him speak too ....

I don't think anunoby is far off. He's with the team on the trip, which leads me to believe he could be playing by the clippers game on Wednesday.

Here's nick nurse update on Tuesday, March 1st:

"It is getting better. The specialist thought it was nearly healed, said it will get better every day. I guess we're just waiting to determine if he's able to play on it. And they said probably within two weeks it will be fully healed, so we're just, I guess, trying to decide what route we're going to take there."

How so? His hand was hurt and he played through it. When the pain didn't go away (or got worse) and started affecting his play leading into the break they did more thorough exams and determined it was broken. Now he's resting it until it heals fully. Not sure how that is a bad look... sounds pretty standard to me: These guys play hurt all the time.

To make it even worse. The company came out and specifically asked broadcaster to never refer to it as the crypt. Way to shut down an actually catchy cool name people might use
