Would have been a way easier win if Trent gave them anything. Some of his misses were so badly off yesterday that it could only be a result of a lack of focus.
    He was sick apparently.

I had to watch the game this morning.. but there was an early 3 second violation called on Barnes in the first. I had to rewind that play, and Scottie clearly stepped out of the key to reset. Is it just a rookie thing? Are refs biased against rookies intentionally? Because you rarely see 3 second violations in the NBA. Yet Scottie gets these weird bogus calls all the time. I'm frustrated and I'm just a fan. Can only imagine what it feels like to be a player.

if fvv can get 100 percent and malichai can put up those rom numbers from last year...the toronto raptors have 9.5 guys that can play fukn basketball....even delano might win them a game with a 8/4/4/2 in 15 minutes with no turnovers....if they can get healthy .....this is a very, very, very good basketball team....without those 4 turnovers....precious with another excellent game...could be the 6th man off the bench

How did Brooks get all this playing time?
because he spreads the floor.....like kerr and paxson did for the bulls even tho they only got 8 points a game...made life a lot easier for both scottie and michael to get into the paint..thats what happens when you shoot 40 from 3

              That would explain it.

You mean like when I pointed out last season that Pascal and Fred deferred to Lowry in a pecking order and they were aggressive when Kyle didn't play? You guys had no clue about that concept. Like Fred explained it: this stuff is nuanced and the average fan wouldn't understand it, but you can see the difference when Scottie plays with and without Fred.

It's not 100% hesitation when he plays with Fred, but he is clearly more assertive when he's running the point by himself, or when it's just him and Pascal.
Fred is one of our top players, if he is out, Scottie gets more opportunities, same happened when Pascal was out at the beginning of the season. Thats not a new concept lol.

My point is towards the people who blame Fred. Its a Scottie thing. Like Kagemusha saying Scottie determined in his head the ball should go to Fred so he made a bad pass because of it. If thats the case, its Scottie's problem or he just made a bad pass.

Closer than it should have been but Raps have a habit of fading a bit at the end of games, not a good habit.
But you take that 5-1 roadie and run, great trip. Beating both the LA's is a highlight of the year.

                    Fuck Steve Ballmer lol
He does get especially animated for a mid March game against a seventh seed when it means little for his team in the standings. You be you I guess

I don't know what the hell Barnes is doing on defense. Morris is schooling him.
Here’s where we need to step back. We’re complaining that a 10 year veteran who is not known for being great but is known for being somewhat savvy managed to school our rookie who has played 3/4 of a season.

                      • Hung in there til the end of the third q. No way I would have gone back to sleep if I watched that ending. Go Raps. Forget going for two..let’s get the back to back to back triple LA sweep. Go get ‘em PM

Maybe other posters are, but I'm not blaming Fred. I'm just making observations and giving my opinion (take it for what its worth) on what might be happening. It's not just based on 1 specific play, but as an aggregate of what I've seen on the court this year.

Scottie has a habit of pressing up too tight sometimes, and opposing players use that against him. That habit needs to be corrected. He has the length to back off to stop the drive, but still give a good shot contest. Needs to study Pascal and OG.

                            • One other thing: we should probably all agree that Achiuwa was fucking fantastic last night. He definitely doesn't want to get left out of the playoff rotation like he did last season in Miami. Precious is probably the most improved Raptor since the season began (even Barnes).

He definitely won't get left out of the rotation. In fact He'll be a major part. He's separated himself from the pack of bench guys and become the clear 6th man. Great to see.
