    That was me. I'm golden

I'm just confused about this semantics fight about "deserving" a ring. You know when you deserve a ring? When you win a ring. That's why had Steve Nash doesn't deserve a ring. He wasn't robbed, or cheated, or injured at the end, no, he just lost. He had first place teams, he was the mvp and bus driver, and he couldn't do it. The end.

Wiggins, if he contributes and wins a ring, well then he deserves it. Seems like you're just trying to play judge and jury based on guys you like or don't like deserving good things to happen to them.

Rings are not for nice guys and they're not a Charlie hustle achievement. They're what you get when you win a tournament. So by nature, win and you deserve it.
    Exactly. You don't deserve one.
You either earn it or you don't. Even if riding on other's coat tails.

You can also win by just plain getting lucky. Jordan Loyd didn’t even play a single minute of garbage time. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Equating lucking into a ring and earning/deserving a ring with a blanket “ends justifies the means” rationale seems like a big stretch, if not outright wrong.

Regarding Nash, I’m also agreeing with you that he didn’t earn anything because he was a sieve on defense and didn’t elevate his team in the playoffs like an MVP should.

      • I don't understand why Lowry keeps passing up open shots. He's not really helping his team right now. Heat needs him to be aggressive.

Lowry choking and being afraid to shoot in the playoffs is a myth.

              • Another thing that I'm learning watching Heat games - Bam is overrated.

                • Lowry - 0 points, 0 assists, 1 rebound. That's hard to do. Tonight is his second 0 point game in these playoffs.

                  • Feels like we got the best of Lowry just before letting him go in the 2019 and 2020 Playoffs. Now he is on the decline with age and injuries.

                    • I think lowry gets a pass, he's clearly too injured to be out there. Unfortunately he's hurting his team by trying, they are better off if he doesn't play.

                      • I think you have to throw out a bit of respect for the Celtics too. That's a team right there.

Like an old car with heavy mileage, you start taking into the shop more than it's on the road. Nagging injuries are the beginning of the end.

The Celtics are the team to beat imo. I don't know why people keeps saying the Warriors maybe because of their championship history? in order for the Warriors to win they need Curry to play like Steph Curry. They need Klay Thompson to actually make shots. And they need Wiggins to keep playing the way he's been playing - good 2 way game. Wiggins is probably going to be the Warriors most important player in the Finals because he's going to guard one of Tatum or Brown. He needs to win that matchup.

So based on where this thread has gone I assume the playoffs have pretty much sucked?
Key injuries on so many teams has sucked a lot of the fun out of the playoffs. The first 2 rounds were fun but the conference finals have been shitty.

The Finals should be good. Fingers crossed.
