  • Everything Playoffs 2022 (Non-Raptors Thread)

Thinking we can consolidate all non-Raptors playoff discussions here.

Looking forward to the Hawks-Hornets game tonight. Ball versus Young should be lots of fun.

Great idea. Was thinking we should have this thread. Surprised to see the Clippers lose to Mini

Haven't followed either team, but I'm just going to go ahead and expect Trae to average 40 a night in this one. Nothing will beat him shutting up the New York crowd in last years first round though.

Reggie Jackson getting 42 minutes to Norm Powells 27 minutes is a crime. Norman Powell is the better player in almost every way shape and form.

        Reggie: 42 minutes, 17 points on 18 shots, -7
        Norm: 27 minutes, 16 points on 9 shots, +3

I don't get this love infatuation with Reggie in LA. He's a perfect Microwave off the bench, not a 2nd fiddle star! Sure he carried them in a hot stretch when PG and them all went down, but dude is just straight inefficient and his defense sucks.

Jackson's putrid second half shooting (3-11) was a key to the Wolves hanging around and then pulling out the game in the fourth. With Powell, the only thing is we don't know how healthy he is or what kind of game shape he is in. He wasn't that good in the second half.

Edwards was impressive. Obviously, I don't see much of the Wolves, so not too familiar with his game but that was a coming out party of sorts for him last night.

My first upset is tonight. I think the Hornets win.

The bigger upset is Wolves over Grizzlies. Both fairly green teams when it comes to playoffs, but I think the Wolves play playoff basketball already (very similar to the Raptors). They covet possessions. And they have a really good defense. Ja will want to do to much and that will hurt them.

Atlanta has a lot of firepower. Cavs are going to be in tough.
