    • Duncan Robinson got a lot of flack for being unplayable in the last series. Jordan Poole is just as unplayable and Poole is like a better version of Gary Trent Jr.

Draymond is also unplayable. Worst player on the court. 2 points, 6 fouls in 35 mins?

Not only that, he's so ridiculously annoying, he fouls on.almost every single play amd gets away with most of it. He drags down players and then gets up mad at the ref for contact that he instigated? So so so annoying, most overrated underskilled player to ever be heralded. By the rules of basketball, of applied, he should be unplayable but gets some sort of bs exception.

Why doesn't Draymond get ripped for how his offensive game is so bad . It is said that he is a HOF candidate but his career avg in Points in playoffs and season is way under 10 a game ..

Draymond is basically Ringo Starr. Sure, he's a very good drummer, but he could have easily ended up working in music store if he doesn't luck into The Beatles.

Same thing if Draymond is drafted by the Kings or T-Wolves. Heck, Draymond wasn't even a starter with the Warriors under Mark Jackson.

              • Draymond is always in the talks for DPOY. It's sort of the Rodman effect where he just has to be considered great on one side of the ball and it gets him in the covo for HOF. He does also impact his team with his IQ and passing though, so I will give him that. Like picture another PF on that team that isn't clearly HOF material and would GS be as dominant?

Please don't put Draymond in the same sentence as Rodman again. Rodman is arguably the best pound for pound defensive player that ever play the game. Draymond is a good defensive player as well but all time great? nah.You see what Jaylen Brown did to him last night?

Rodman in his prime averaged 16-18 rebounds a game. Draymond last night was getting outrebounded and outhustled by Grant and Robert Williams. That would never happen with Rodman.

                  "That Green guy" lol.

Yeah Rodman was maybe the best one on one defender ever and maybe the best rebounder ever too. He's a level above Draymond for sure.

Yeah Rodman was an all time great. Not saying Draymond is on that level, but he's constantly in the convo for DPOY which is why he gets spoken about as a HOF type guy.

                      • The Celtics are huge. Good article here if you have the athletic but there seems to be a pay wall on this article (I've been able to post in the past with no paywall) https://theathletic.com/3348189/2022.../?redirected=1

Essentially by moving on from Kemba, starting Smart at the point, Brown at 2, Tatum at 3 who is ~6'9 - 6'10, Horford at the 4, and Williams at the 5, they are massive! You can see them bullying the dubs down low, making it hard for them to shoot over length and dominating the offensive boards.

Boris Diaw comes to mind as a non-HoF PF that would have equal (likely more) success as Draymond with GS, on offense.

The other thing about Golden State, which Pat Bev pointed out, is that they wear you out so much with their cutting and chasing Curry, that their opponents actually have a lot less energy for offense. So you can argue that Draymond's defense is vastly overrated because he's always facing a fatigued opponent in comparison to other DPOY candidates whose teams run a different style of offense

LOL Boris Diaw? Man if only he was around in this era I think he'd be way more of an impact player. His ability to guard bigger guys, find open players and that high basketball IQ was tailor made for this era. I dont think Diaw was the defender which Green is but its not easy to compare across different times in basketball. He certainly was a good defender. Sort of proves my point though if you have to go that far back to find a good comparison of the same type of player. Not a lot of guys like that in recent history and certainly in the current NBA.

is Draymond guarding the same guys chasing Curry around? Across an entire season? Feels like a bit of a reach but I've probably spent more time that I ever wanted to devote to defending Draymond. Not a fan of his or the Warriors.

Perfectly said .. He carries himself like he is John Lennon ... He actually thinks he at least Charles Barkley equal cause he boasts he has championships but Barkley had to carry franchises ..

Holly crap he might actually make the HOF .. He has a ten year career with less then 6,000 career points .. Simmons gets ripped for not having developmented offensively since he has entered the league and how has Draymond expanded his offensive game ?

Diaw was the first name that came to mind as a glue-guy/point forward who played a key role on a championship team and also guarded centers and big wings like Lebron. Obviously, Ben Simmons would be a super-charged Draymond on both ends of the court. Bam, Siakam also surpass Draymond, and undersized guys like Bruce Brown and Grant Williams can all do DHOs & screen for Steph & Klay while guarding centers in certain matchups. They are probably the best comps to Draymond of current players. Even on our own team, OG, Scottie & Precious are also providing Draymond like stuff while surpassing him in many other ways.
