Flynn is going to be a big part of the rotation. That's my prediction. This is a big year for him.
With Christian on the team, Flynn finally has someone to run his pick and rolls with. These two guys could develop some chemistry.

Go with the hot hand or defense pending on the match-up.

      Barnes-OPJ-OG-Siakam-Achiuwa

      FVV-GTJ-OG-Barnes-Siakam.
Fred will be closing. Zero doubt there.

I could see an argument for OPJ in for GTJ in the closing look, if you want a middle ground between the big starting group (assuming Precious starts) and the small ball 5.

But should FVV be closing against a long arm teams like the Celtics & Bucks if the score is close?!

Yes. He's one of our best defenders regardless of the guy he's guarding and his shooting is irreplaceable, never mind how clutch he is.

Whise spot is Flynn taking? Young, Porter, Boucher or Precious? Cause if he isn’t displacing one of those guys, then he isn’t playing.

He doesn't have to displace anyone. If he gets spot minutes because someone has COVID, or the Flu, or a tweaked hamstring, and Christian is playing, we might see something positive from him. Something he was deemed the best in his conference in college. After the season the Raptors just had and the missed games from FVV, Scottie, Trent, Pascal, Khem, etc. not to mention the likelihood of guys spending time with the 905, I'm surprised you don't see the opportunity for a player to get time on the floor.

                • It's going to be tough for Flynn to see steady minutes which is what the poster is saying I think. Injuries are always possible, but other than that it's garbage time minutes for a lot of these guys.

All those guard minutes which Fred was overextending himself with should be going to Barnes. And we've signed Porter and brought in other forwards to plug into those minutes Barnes would be vacating. Flynn's best chance to work his way into the rotation might be as a shooter. I'm sure Nurse is going to have some funky line-up's coming off the bench early in the season until he figures out the best combination.

                    OK pop quiz:
How many teams listed above the Raptors are they going to finish ahead of in wins. The over is a good bet IF the Raps stay healthy.

Raptors weren't healthy last year, and still got to 48 wins.

I think they safely beat Atlanta. Brooklyn is not going to be good if KD is traded. Miami and Philly I think will have similar records to the Raptors. Embiid gets hurt quite often, and without him they will struggle even with Harden around. The same issues exist in Miami with Butler and Lowry.

Doesn't really matter out West.. but I think they do better than Minnesota, LAL, and maybe Dallas as they've lost Brunson who was huge for them last season.

I guess he might get some playing time if guys get hurt or sick but you can say that about almost any deep bench guy in the entire league. That's very different from actually playing and contributing on a regular basis.

are you able to just bet on draft kings online?
No, I live in Florida and the Seminole Hard Rock casino wants full control of sports betting and are in a dispute over who gets to control sports betting in the state so currently can't use Draft Kings or Hard Rock, so I use betonline, the odds are always similar there.

Hopefully these guys can find a way to be the bench mob 2.0

I'm not sure if we ever do a full 5-man bench unit. Nurse will likely always want one of Pascal, Fred, OG or Scottie on the court at all times. With Casey he used those hockey lineups so we got to see a true bench mob under him. I don't think we saw that from Nurse, unless everyone was hurt.

The most intriguing line up for me will be one with Koloko in it.

Koloko, Boucher, Pascal, OG, Banton would make one really, really long line up.

It's not that. I don't think Koloko's going to get much playing time. I look at Flynn as a scorer - think Isaiah Thomas of the Celtics. Ithink he can be that type of player if he can put things together. Raps need someone like that off the bench.
