Yeah, for example....if wanting to end racism is a divisive issue for some people, then if I was the NBA, I wouldn't want money from people on the wrong side of that issue.
Agreed. The "Shut up and dribble" minority is probably the group you don't want to cater to.

    • Thoughts? not being homer here but PS should be a lot higher imo.

And we take a global poll as to who's more known, MJ would win that by a landslide.
Russell played before the game was global so that's not a surprise.

disrespectful. pascal is currently better than all of those players, although i can see how one might feel like there is more upside to a few of the guys ahead of him.

i think pascal is primed for a big year and headed for supermax eligibility which is why we should extend him now if he's amenable to it

Pascal could easily be number 1 there. Not a lot separating the top 6 but I'd rather have Pascal than any of those guys.

That list is downright terrible. Other than Simmons, Pascal is the only guy who made an all-NBA team. Oh, and he’s the only NBA champion too. Pretty sure he’s also won the most games and has the best winning percentage.

Maybe not easily but hes top 2 with Jaylen Brown.

No way in hell both Murrays and Simmons are ahead of him.

                  • The 2016 draft is awesome.. and will be one of the best of all times. But the list will keep changing year to year. They are all really good. I'd likely rank them like this:

                    1. Siakam
                    2. Ingram
                    3. Simmons
                    4. Brown
                    5. J. Murray
                    6. D. Murray
                    7. Sabonis
                    8. VanVleet
                    9. Brogdon
                    10. Poeltl

Skal Labissiere would go somewhere later

                    • I think it's close between Brown and Siakam but i'd probably give the slight edge to Siakam.

                      Siakam
                      Brown
                      J. Murray
                      Ingram
                      D. Murray
                      Sabonis
                      FVV
                      Simmons
                      Poeltl

Ya I think you are almost there:

                          Siakam
                          Brown
J.Murray (only slides down because of injury)

How on earth is the military ... while being important... not political... you spoke on the purity of the sport but if it was pure it wouldn't take money frmo that at all. This is coming from someone who... guess what supports the military.

My point is for the sake of this argument you can't pick and choose when certain conversations are relevant or not based on how you feel.
                            Ummm
coz the military represents the country, in general?
You mean the military only serves a particular group of people????

Problem is the harder you push your agenda, the less positive result comes out.

                              Change has to be organic.

Yeah.. he had a mental break down season.. but when healthy and playing he's really, really good. He can't/won't shoot but does most everything else at an elite level. Advanced stats confirm that.

I find Brown to be a bit overrated. I'm not his biggest fan.
