  • Nice to see scottie in town in july

maybe it will be siakam. It just reminds me more of the DD trade. Less add ons needed if its around pascal

Masai isn't trading Scotty or Pascal, I can almost guarantee it. Any of Freddy, OG and Achiuwa will have to be part of a significant underpay imo. It's not happening.
But it must be asked... what are the competing offers? Sure that the Raps f/o must have a good feel about the Suns, Heat , NO offers.Masai mo is patience and not gutting the team either in the short or long terms... or walk away.

      • I mean on paper and with age factor durant for pascal straight up is pretty even. I know the nets will want a lot more but they should get just a little more

How long is this thing going to drag out? the whole month? the whole summer?
I think the longer it drags on past the off-season, the worse it is for the Nets. They're just delaying the inevitable and their rebuild.

I've seen people mention the Harden trade and Morey waiting for the right moment. Difference with that was their superstar is committed to the team and they were still a Playoff team, so they could afford to wait it out.

I'm of the opinion that the Gobert trade won't change the return for KD no matter how much Brooklyn wants it. One team overpaid for Gobert, it won't change the market for KD.

Oh cool. OVO is across the street from me. Hes probably at liberty village shoppers. Heard he lives near Roncesvalles a scooter ride away

              • Whats lost in all of this is the Suns have 2 days to find a third team for an Ayton trade if they want in on KD.

If another team offers Ayton a contract after the moratorium ends, Suns either have to match it and they won't be able to trade Ayton or Ayton is gone. Basically they're out of the running for KD in 2 days.

                • Well, the longer this drags out, I'm hoping Masai is finding a way to pluck DeAndre Ayton from this ordeal if Brooklyn is not satisfied with our offer.

                  something like:

                  s/general - Suns/Raps/Nets Shuffle | Fanspo

OG, Flynn and 2 FRPs for Ayton and help facilitate the Durant move to Phoenix, I don't think we could do any wrong.

                  • Gotta figure nets will shake up a lot more after trading their star player. They wont take anything but they must wanna get this done and get on to the other moves

Zion just signed an extension so he can't be traded. Would the Nets be interested in a deal around Ingram?

Bam can't be traded to the Nets because the Nets have Ben Simmons on the roster so you can pretty much eliminate them unless the Heat trade for Ben Simmons as well which I don't see happening.

As for the Suns, it has to be a 3 team deal. Bobby Marks mentioned it on ESPN. Something like Myles Turner, Bridges and Johnson to Brooklyn. KD to to Phoenix. Ayton to Pacers.

Why would the Pacers do that? Myles Turner is a good fit with their team and won't be on a max contract.

Good info. I don't know if this could go on for a long time anyway but maybe for the Suns it's unrealistic. Teams want to get moving on to the next step, if they wait too long they're missing out on their targets from before the Durant trade demand and only one team can walk away the winner here. Woj says time is on their side but time is also against them. What contender is going to put their off-season on hold in the hopes of landing Durant? Its a little different but the Kawhi sweepstakes of a few years ago fucked the Lakers. They waited too long.
