Really really really hurts to botch the #2 overall pick as well. GSW has been dominant for so long because they don't screw up these picks.

This situation is way worse than what we went through with Bargs, and that was really bad.
I don't know man, we needed bargs to be a really good player, the warriors won a chip without Wiseman contributing anything. It's a botched pick for GSW and it sucks better players were passed on, but it isn't gonna help maintain an era of mediocrity like the Bargs pick did. If they were rebuilding I'd agree with you.

Yeah, Warriors passing on LaMelo was odd. He was the perfect fit for their up-tempo, showtime offense. Especially considering Klay was hurt and possibly was never going to play again. LaVar might've scared them off.
it was totally lavar which was a silly reason

We didn't have any margin for error since we botched nearly every draft pick prior to that. GSW isn't paying the consequences yet but their stars are old and nearly done and they will be paying for it soon. They could be retooling around Ball instead of sending Wiseman to the G League.

        • Nets sliding badly….

it’s a matter of time KD and Joe Tsai reconsider a mutual separation.

Didn't catch it till tonight either but simmions is coming off the bench too. That team is screwed and KD is looking to be in the same spot as LeBron a few years ago where he still is an all time great but not good enough to drag a team of random players thrown together to a be a decent team. Think this ends is a KD trade sooner rather then later.

            • Shoutout to former Raptor Terrence Davis who had himself a game last night against the Nets. 31pts on 12-16 from the field, 7-10 from 3, 9rebs, 4ast, 3stl, +35 and all in 26 tidy mins. Not too shabby.

and that is why his next team is likely his final team. he needs to go somewhere win and stay and build a legacy

Agreed..Seems like it's slowly unrevealing, u can c the frustration on KD..I'm not fan of KD, but honestly his the kind of player Raptors need.

And given Jaylen Brown's comments it sounds like the union is getting ready to step into the Irving situation. Imploded even quicker than I thought it would.

EDIT: And reading the Simmons stuff this morning it sounds like they've basically had it with him already.

                    • It's soooooooooo good that each of the Lakers, Clippers and Nets are under achieving or imploding this season.
Time for some non buddy-up smaller market teams to move on up....

Also Warriors aren't doing so well

Super teams era might be put on hold as salaries climb and teams are focusing more on defense to make up the difference.

why? the Knicks are playing 500 ball like the Knicks expected to play.

Gary for RJ may not be a bad idea. Trent would love playing in NY. Likely would have to give up a first. RJ is really inefficient. He can break out and give you 25-30 points, but isn't a great 3pt shooter. But he fits the mold the Raptors are going for. And of course he's Canadian.

Not sure the Knicks would go for it.. RJ is their "Scottie".

I believe the Knicks were dangling RJ for Mitchell in the summer so he isn't exactly as valued as Scottie.

It would take more more than Trent and a pick which is why it isn't really worth it for a trade.
