    • Coming from a guy that has won a lot of chips..lol.. however I don't disagree with his assessment..from the body language, the way they are playing, not as a team but individuals, no structure, iso ball...no communication, bad defense..SELFISH BASKETBALL..everybody is on a island playing for them selfs, that's what I'm most disappointed..never thought raptors would play like this..
Anyway..here is quote..if it means anything..
Hopefully Playboy Masai taking notes and leaving the liquor alone..
Playboy his s%$^^g on your franchise and suggestion what u preach about this team all the time...winning..right.
Well this clown says this franchise isn't about that..they don't care about winning.

      • I was thinking about the lack of ball movement and when was the last time there was a kickout and then around the horn for an open three. Raps don't do that any more since we're shooting the three so crap. We don't create movement and half our offense disappears. Huge win last night, it was done by 1 player having a carer game and it's not sustainable. They were actually in dangerof losing it so Fred thought he'd better step up and be the 2nd option again; failed miserably and we just pulled it out.

Fred stepping up late was a big reason we pulled it out - Pascal was understandably tired (frankly it's always impressive just how much he does carry on a nightly basis) and couldn't initiate every play down the stretch so it was non-ideal but they bought him enough time to get his legs so he could close the deal. The issue late in the game was Nick tried to buy OG a couple minutes of rest by subbing Scottie in which was a complete disaster, that's what made the game almost slip away. Once OG was back in there it was a pretty successful closeout of a game that was tighter than it should have been.

For real, crowder isn't even playing is he? Think they would have pulled the trigger unless draft capital is involved.

Part of ball movement requires personnel.. there is usually one guy responsible for setting up motions and getting people into spots. Gasol was excellent at that. Lowry was as well. We don't really have that.

Our best passer is Siakam.. but it's not his best skill. Fred thinks way to much, eating way too much of the clock to be that guy. Scottie isn't quite ready to be that guy either. But could be one day. I think the game still has to slow down for him, like it did for Pascal.

This current team was built to be a transition team. But that can be taken away. The half court, and especially zone defenses are our achilles. But if you have a star player you can break through that.. and that's what Siakam did last night.. and almost against Philly the previous night. Sustaining that is tough. But that's also why we're below .500.

On the bright side, we had the same challenges last season and yet still got to be the 5th seed.

                • The Knicks had a 2nd round pick taken for early talks with brunson. Anyone know what happens to that pick?

                    • I was just saying how the next wave of present/future NBA superstars were refreshingly in smaller market teams than New York or LA or Miami. I alos said that several of them were starting to become whiny pricks like it seems you need to be to be an elite NBA player.

Luka, Trae, Garland, Tatum, Zion, Jalen Brown, Booker, Ingram, Jamal Murray, OG, Scottie Barnes, Fox, Jarrett Allen, Haliburton etc, please don't go to LA or NY, let lebron/Davis and Kawhi/PG, Durant/Kyrie all age and rot on their own.....RJ you can leave the Knicks....

No league has superstars switching teams quite like the NBA, and it appears some new names could be asking out of town in the near future.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young could be the next superstar to request a trade should the team fail to make "inroads" come post-season time.

So one less player gets drafted? That doesn't seem right for guys trying to get drafted.

Trae ain't no superstar though. I hope the Raps don't try to get in on those sweepstakes if he decides to leave.

But I get what you're saying. Would be nice to see all or most of the larger market teams competing for lottery balls as their stars age and retire.
