  • GAME 3 RAPTORS AT HEAT Saturday Oct 22 8:00pm TSN

Life is like a box of chocolates.
You never know which one you're going to get.
Did we expect to get an O'Neal?
    Nope.
    But that's life.

After an inspiring two gamethreads, with that loss,
Goldblum is, for lack of a better word, benched.

But on to bigger and brighter things!
Ever since the trade went down...

This is the date Precious has had circled on his calender.
    October 22nd in Miami!
Or wait...maybe it was October 24th in Miami!
    Maybe both?
Going to have to check the Blackberry for that one

    But, before we move on,
can we talk about Pascal Siakam Superstar?
I think he's top 5 in the game so far.

2 games in and it's been two down to the wire last shot wins gut checks with two likely Eastern heavyweights.
    Are you feeling it?

Good thing we've just got a typically chill game against the Miami Heat.
Take 2 and call me Tuesday morning.

As for our 0-2 hosts for the weekend, let's meet 'em!

    PG

    SG

(this has to be how he was named)

    SF

    PF

    C

So, after 96 minutes of watching the good guys, what do you think so far?
I don't want to make any rush judgements
But I see you can still get the Raptors and +1600 to win the East
I'd take it while it's still there

    Go Raps.

          OPJ and Boucher out again.

I hope NN tries to bring life to the bench by mixing and matching with the starting lineup as well as give players we haven't seen yet a chance to make a difference to the stagnant bench (Dowtin, Champagine and Flynn, you might as well try if the current bench let you down for the 2nd game in a row).

Also never have Siakam and Barnes sitting at the same time on the bench again for more than 2 minutes. Seems that one of them always has to be out there.

Pretty pleased with the Raptors play so far. Missing Boucher and Porter has a big impact on the expectations for the bench. Looking forward to a good showing tonight. Koloko is fun to watch. Hope he keeps impressing.

We are definitely on the same wavelength. I kid you not that I was absolutely going to use that quote in the thread and tie the torch part into our matchup with the Heat. Just didn’t make the final cut. You know what they say about two useless minds obsessed with basketball…

We are losing some games because of the free throws. I hope Nurse tells the players to spend some time fixing their free throws shooting.

Pascal hits the sick bucket and jaws at somebody all the way back down the court — and has his back to the easy Heat layup.

                      Not a good look.

                      Man, he’s good though.

                      Stay focused, P.

VanVleet overhelping, first leaving Kyle for an open three

second leaving Herro leading to a delayed coverage then fouling him

                        WTF

                          OG so frustrating…

We see those games where Pascal isn’t playing and OG subsequently goes to work with confidence and gets the job done.

He’s just flailing going to the rim.
                          Totally out of control.

                          Really no excuse for it.

It may be infrequent — but we’ve seen him be better than this.

                            Uh oh.

                            going badly.

                            And Barnes looks hurt.
