  • I wonder if the Raptors take a guard again. When they took Flynn both Fred and Kyle were potentially free agents. Kyle ended up leaving and Fred came back. This time around we have Fred and Gary as potential free agents. Flynn is also on the outs. So it's not like we can rely on him. Maybe they see enough in Banton.. but he's still doing time in the G-league in his second year.

In the draft the idea is to get the best player available but there are always tiers. And those tiers can be ranked by fit.

I think the preference has to be for a guard. We can really use a PG who can play at the NBA level, and a SG who can make buckets.

We don't need anymore PF or C.

SF is kinda the same as SG in today's NBA so I don't really make the distinction.

      • Miller with another incredible performance tonight. He might just be the second best player in this draft.

I bet in 5 years he's the best because Wemby will be out of the league with ankle / knee issues.

I've also had him above Scoot for a while

          • Miller also now #2 in KOC's ranking.

            • What are the odds for Raps landing in the top 3 of the draft if the lottery was held today?

Doesn't say Top 3, but Top 4 is 13.9%, top 3 is probably a bit lower.

                • We're 1 game back of 6th worse (well tied for 6th). That's 31.9% odds to get into the top 4. Better odds then we had in the Tampa Tank year.

We're not going to rest guys but would be a good opportune time to just give up. Only what 14 games left? That's nothing.

                  • This kid Miller from Alabama looks really really good.
Makes his shots from the arc.
                    Can play inside.
Isn't selfish with the ball and handles it very well.

Does he hang around the draft to 6 to 8 or will he go higher ?

There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Or we just play everyone, try to win and still lose games. We did go 1-4 on the road trip with losses to the Wizards and Lakers. It doesn't get easier. We're playing the Nuggets, OKC, Wolves, Bucks, Pacers, Pistons, Wizards, Heat, Sixers, Hornets twice, Celtics twice then Bucks again. That is the remaining schedule.

I can't confidently say the Raptors will beat the Pistons or Hornets either. Hornets did beat the Knicks who were on an 8 game win streak. Even if they are bad, they catch you at the right time, they can still win.

We're not going to be bad enough to draft him.

don't be so sure... we have the 10th best odds... teams 6-9 all have one less win than us. Portland, Bulls, Washington, Indiana. Orlando could be tough to catch but we could increase our odds and potentially get him if he drops at all if not there are plenty of others.

He's pegged to go 3rd in most mock drafts right now so doubt he falls out of the top 3 or 4. He's a really good shooter and plays with that "it" factor which teams love so he may even go as high as 2nd in the draft.

Only think he is lacking is the freakish athleticism of Scoot and Amen, but he's more skilled than both.

Scoot is a really great athlete, but he looks like a notch below a Derrick Rose or Ja Morant…truly freakish, athletic small guards he’s compared to. Strong frame, though.

It's a big drop off after the top 3. Those guys are locked in. Wemby will go first and it's between Miller and Scoot for 2nd pick.

The draft becomes quite a bit more unpredictable starting with the 4th pick. Mocks are all over the place.
