We're already second worst on D. The argument would hold water if we had horrible efficiency on O becuase we employ specialists on stellar D and win games 90-83...... we don't

We're gonna have to see what this team looks like under a new coach and what changes are to come in the off season. The general feeling is that they underachieved this year.
The point being with such an inefficient lineup, it's going to take more than just a new Coach and "system" imo
We need roster changes beyond just running it primarily back.

Raptors Top 5 Guys that I love the Raptors 2 Draft...
Brandon Miller ( Not superstar, could be..He reminds me of Paul George)
Anthony Black(Scary, in a good way)
Taylor Hendricks( I really like him, maybe we can get him if we move up a bit)
Jett Howard(Interesting)
Jordan Hawkins(Sleeper)

There will be a new system with a new coach but regardless Masai said the first order of business is get shooting. Hes not looking for a system to possibly improve the teams shooting. As mentioned just OG shooting above league avg (at low volume) is a recipe for mediocrity at best. I mentioned to you last summer teams that shoot poorly rarely make it into the playoffs and you said it worked last time so it should work again. Masai sees it not sure why you keep denying it

This just doesn't make sense to me. When you maximize offensive rebounds, that automatically results in a certain percentage of higher quality shots, by virtue of where offensive rebounds are controlled, not lower. Offensive rebounds generate considerably higher efficiency. They didn't just run up the floor and jack up quick low percentage shots to boost their sheer numbers!
When you have more than double the next closest team in field goal attempts (not just more than any other team which would be notable in itself) but more than double the next team, the only way not to outscore the majority of teams is to be massively inefficient. . Hey, we were; third-worst in effective field-goal percentage.
Add to that, the team shot for shat from 3, OG being the single and only player that was ever league average.
It's bizarre to even attempt to defend those stats. The team, especially Fred due to the sheer number of shots he jacks up, have to up their efficiency. We need shooters....
But to generate offensive rebounds you have to send guys to the glass, which usually means fewer guys spacing out and leaving room to attack the rim on the first part of the possession, and you have to have guys know when the shot is going up, which means more static isolation and post plays that are easier to read than the more dynamic (and turnover prone) on-the-fly creation sets like PnRs with big size differentials and more complex sets with multiple actions happening around the perimeter. Which leads to lower efficiency looks since you are playing those static sets.
We didn't have twice the FGAs of other teams, we had twice the FGA differential. We had the 5th most FGA in the league, and the fewest FGA against in the league. That latter by about 70 FGA over the course of the season, so less than one FGA per game ahead of the next closest team. It wasn't some sort of bonkers performance on either end - just excellent on both ends, and the only team that really tried to achieve that FGA delta on both ends. Hence the large total differential.
Yes, the team shot poorly from 3. Some of that is a lack of shooters (and when one or two went down, it becomes super easy to scheme even those shooters out) and some was just bad shooting performances, and some was that system that doesn't generate good looks very often.

he is too slow footed and would need a lot of work... I want a second first to go after someone like kris murray but im hoping wallace falls to us
Wallace doesn't need to drop top us, he's projected around there, and not sure what you see there, I'd pass.
Haven't check out Kris Murray yet.

I mean Wallace does look pretty good and if the ream chose hom, I would buy in. But Hawkins looks better, and Leonard Miller would be a more exciting pick.
And just to be clear any talk of Edey is purely if we get a 2nd rounder, but as a second round pick, he looks great. Whatever deficiency he has certainly didn't stop him for performing incredibly at the college level, so very much worth a try.
