I think we're de-prioritizing player development as long as Nurse is coach. It's all win-now mode, with NBA ready vets.... wherever that takes us. We don't really need picks anymore, except as trade capital (to acquire more vets).
        Masai changing course….borrowed Colangelo’s playbook

        deadline done

        • No worries, Jakob will cure all our problems. RIP to Freddy who may have to avg 40 mins a game here on out so we can make the play in.

          • We didn’t tank but we are more likely a play in fodder at the very least

And we have three free agents wanting a massive raise.

rid of top 6 unprotected First round pick and 2 SRPs for a rental

Masai definitely has a grand plan….Nick Nurse the ball is on your court, make it work

            Back to Giants of Africa

while we all reminisce game 6

I’m so emotional in these kind of stuff

            • Fred would be a real piece of shit to leave in free agency after Masai and Bobby basically put trust in this core.

                • So 3 big free agents this summer & the Raptors can't sign them all.

It's going to be fun getting into the play-in just to barley pass the Knicks or the Hawks & get eaten alive 4-0 against some powerhouse team in the East in the first round.

                  • Well, I guess it's not horrible, but I was hoping to see some shooting and PG help

Now we have some negotiating muscle with Fred and Gary. We know what they're worth around the league. Hopefully gets them signed on decent deals, that we can move later if need be.

Raptors CAN sign them all. We could pay the tax but nothing stopping us from signing them if we want to.

Fred will go where he is offered the most money & if the Raptors do decide to give him his $130 millions then that's where he will be.

One of those situations where the Raptors might have been better off trading him but now its too late.

I'm salty AF right now. We're losing out on a likely top 10 pick this draft so we can make a run at the play in? Da fuk?

This team ain't going to pay the luxury tax. Ever since the championship we are penny pinching wherever we can to avoid it.

If Fred is undervalued around the league he's not gonna get that massive contract. We clearly explored all options and teams weren't willing to give up much for Fred.

The move now is resign everyone in the offseason and then we can deal them for a better return.

OG is also gonna be the hottest commodity around draft time, so we could move up, get an extra pick, sky is the limit at that point. There will be even more suitors for him as teams that weren't contending this season will be interested in the offseason (OKC, Magic, Pacers, etc...)
