As slaw mentioned, Halliburton and Fox together didn't work. Fox plus Sabonis does work. Fox doesn't get you Sabonis in return.

I get why they did it. The point you keep missing is that if one of their multiple drafted centers panned out, they could’ve flipped Hali (or Fox) for a high-end wing like OG and had a stronger team… butterfly effects aside.

I think Sharpe could be available in a trade if Raps were interested. Portland is dead last in the NBA in bench scoring and they need to do something to turn their season around. They might be interested in a few of our players.

If any of their multiple failed draft picks had panned out they wouldn't have been in position to even draft Halliburton. That's the butterfly effect.

I think there is potential there to be excited about. Stats don't jump out of course, but he is only 19 years old. High lottery pick, athletic and can score at all 3 levels.

Defensively, no idea how good he'll be, but offensively, I think he'll be a good scorer in the league.

He's a player that has a lot of physical ability. Great athlete, fast twitch etc. He's playing behind Dame and Simon's and Hart so you're betting on him being better than what he's shown so far. Similar to Trent and Simon's when they were playing behind Dame and CJ.
