  • Poetl would be ok but for future pick is such a credit card move. Bench is bare we need futures and cap space. Koloko could do 12 and 10 soon enough

    • Spurs trying 2 stir some false narrative.
I don't believe in these reports, it's coming from San Antonio or somewhere else and not from Masai...
This team needs 2 start rebuilding..it doesn't make sense, your just prolonging inevitability of incompetent roster, my honest opinion, ain't gonna work.

I don't think we need to rebuild, I think we need to retool. To me, this is a big difference. Our core is young, there is some overlap and some holes. If we can better balance out the squad we are in a great place to be back competing for a top 3 seed.

          Westbrook is an expiring contract.
Yeah I know.. I used "dump him" by implying that they weren't bringing him back so that they can open up their cap space. But with the Rui trade, that backfired (his cap hold eats $18M of that cap space), unless they plan to let Rui walk by the end of the season. And then there goes their 3 second rounders.

Rui does complicate things but in no universe was LA ever bringing back Westbrook. They are going to gladly let him expire

            • I'd like to see them take a chance at someone like Reddish. He shouldn't cost much.

I never understood the attraction to him. He wasn't that good in college. Hasn't had a good NBA career. Was given away by Atlanta, and is rotting on the bench in NY. He'll be cheap but is he any better than Jauncho who's not great either?

                    VanVleet and Birch

for their 2023 FRP (likely mid teens or late teens) and whoever Clipper players who would balance the salaries going out would be nice.

the article also stated their need for a back up big to relieve Zubac so “he earned his minutes” LOL Birch can do them wonders.

For VanVleet, the Clippers could offer something along the lines of Kennard, Mann, Boston, a future first-round pick, and a second-round pick or two. Depending on the number of players involved, maybe the Clippers could get someone like Juancho Hernangomez back in a deal or work it into a three-way to land a backup center.

i don't think they can trade their own pick until 2028 because of the paul george trade.

                            • Just based on what I've heard from someone who regularly deals with Ujiri at MLSE, I predict there is less than zero chance (maybe -1500%) that the Raps will ever do a trade with the Clippers. Can't see it.

the Clippers have a first-round pick in 2023, but it’s not guaranteed to be their own. As part of the Paul George trade, L.A. gave the Thunder the ability to swap first-rounders in 2023.
Can the Clippers keep their 2023 pick if they finish the season ahead of OKC in the standings?
