Cam is 26 and does some things a lot worse than OG, but also does some things better that might suit the team better. You’d also assume we’d land a draft pick or 2, along with another asset (hopefully Crowder to flip for another piece)

No one thinks we’ll get a piece back better than OG. But the sum of parts might be better value than OG at the end of the day.


Never forget that Rudy Gay was the best player by far but we benefitted much more from Patrick Patterson, Greivis Vazquez, Chuck Hayes and John Salmons.

second half of last season was fun and the team played extremely well, but they only got to 5th seed. This season is similar except the struggles from the first half of the season is lasting longer.

The makeup of the team isn't good enough, even if you think the core can succeed. Not a lot of shooting to surround your two finishers/playmakers in Pascal and Scottie and the 3 main shooters have struggled to shoot for majority of the season.

Boucher hasn't been talked about a lot. But he is a good deadline asset too. An energy bench big that lots of playoffs teams could use. Should fit into most systems just running the floor o boarding and dunking. Could fetch a late 1st or a fringe rotation young guy who hasn't broken into a team yet

The best way to burn another season is assume a coaching change will fix everything.

i can't believe I am going back on something I said before about coaching. I still think coaching can make a difference but it depends on the roster. Coaching in a sense can be the ultimate ceiling raiser but it isn't a floor raising thing. I agree with you Primer. If roster construction is the problem regardless of how the minutes are being distributed or anything else you have to fix that FIRST. You can fix both at the same time even. Also people have to accept that FVV isn't getting much better than he is now if anything he will decrease in value. I think he will have value for sure but not enough on court to justify 30 million if you want to compete.
