I disagree with the bolded. Half the league is rumored to really really want OG.

Barely anyone wanted Gobert and that monster contract. Minnesota was bidding against themselves and got played hard.

I remember half the league being interested in Norm too.. and we ended up with Gary and Rodney Hood. Not really a haul.

Is there a poorly run team like Minny interested in OG? If not then it doesn't matter if 10 teams are interested.

I won't be disappointed if the Raptors stating 5 after the deadline is precious, siakam, og, trent, Barnes. A couple of bench pieces and a pick or 2 for Fred would be nice. See where that takes us rest of the season. Re evaluate in the offseason, maybe move another vet for the right return. Gotta unleash scottie, Fred makes the most sense to move to accomplish that.

I'd be disappointed in that line up. Everyone wants Barnes to play like Cade because they are both guards in the body of a forward, but Barnes has a long ways to go. Really high dribble and can't even get the ball over half court when he faces any defensive pressure, right now. Gotta be patient while he develops.

That’s the type of guy every day. We went years looking for an OG with Carroll, James Johnson, Joey Graham, etc.

No I'm not comparing OG's values to Norm's. I'm insinuating that when we hear half the league having interest it could be the Raptors creating those rumours to improve his trade stock.. just like we kept hearing about half the league being interested in Norm.. when we got a pretty meek return for him. Was that rumour legit back then or was it hogwash? Is it legit now or is that hogwash?

Either way a market isn't decided by 10 teams wanting one guy.. it's about that single team that will do whatever it takes to get the guy. Just like Minnesota being aggressive in bringing in Rudy Gobert. Can Masai find another Minnesota? If not then we're not getting the same return for OG that Utah got for Gobert.
