Players like AL Jeff and Gasol are that.

Like I posted earlier, IMO, if you're not normally a passing team, it's a completely different situation for a shooter. Shooters aren't expecting the pass as a first option and getting into a consistent shooting rhythm from game to game.
Same thing happens with Lowry/Amir pick & rolls. Ever notice that Amir rarely rolls hard to the basket anymore with Lowry, like he did with Jose. It's because he knows he's got almost no chance of getting the ball. Amir knows that Lowry will head kamikaze style into a wall of defenders, so he rolls half-heartedly and positions himself for the offensive rebound. And the opposition defence knows exactly what is going to happen, too.
Our 'shooters' are not not thinking of shot-first, their thinking of offensive rebound or getting back on D.
Lowry missing 3's is also a different story. He's being guarded like an all-star and he's rushing everything. They're taking away time and space and forcing him to make quicker decisions. K-Low is being exposed, somewhat and rushing things. Lou is being guarded in a similar way and also forcing it. And Vasquez shouldn't even be taking as many 3's as he is. That's never been his game. PnR & floaters were his strength coming in.

We still missed some open shots that we make sometimes. Demar fooled us with his first good game and it will take him a while to get going. We need to feature Jonas more and the purposed trade for Miles P does not really add a good Big from a scoring sense. Green is streaky.

We're dying now.
Also I'd like to believe we were a little under estimated last year and even for a while this year. Now teams take us more seriously since we were(sigh) making noise.
The scouting report is out y'all , and the contested ISO jumpers ain't goin' in.

We have the personnel but lack the plays being drawn out by the coach.
The raptors play offense like any pick up game you play .
* there are no plays, just give the guys the ball and they do what there comfortable.
Doesn't sound professional.

2Pat is at a career low USG% (12.7%). That's Tyson Chandler low. Ross is a shooter who has been told to dribble-drive the ball and is back to being a 5th option, with DD back. Casey has publicly stated that he thinks this Raps team isn't capable of passing.
We could get Kyle Korver and he would still look bad in this offense.

One other the thing Masai should look into is actually acquiring a shooter. Right now we just have a bunch of scorers that can shoot. No legit 3 point threat. At the beginning of the year it was 3Pat and Ross but, now they can't shoot it into the ocean.
