  • Our offence is so fucking ugly. I don't think DC should be canned, but he needs to stop making excuses for these "stinker" games offensively. You can't say that after every ugly loss. On a night where we couldn't throw the ball into the ocean, you'd think JJ -- a player that can get to the rim at will -- would've been of use.

Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

Yup, but still 105 points per 100 poss. sounds crazy when you hear who's coaching this team!
Nothing he can do. Noah bothers mid range and Gasol can protect the rim better than Boozer but there are cracks between them. Not being able to use Gibson late for Gasol must hurt.

        • Lou Williams needs a leash. He's shot us out of games as many times as he's kept us in them.

          • When good 3pt shooters take an open 3, it's a good shot However,
this year / last year (before tonight)
            Lowry .323 / .380
            Vasquez .343 / .389
            Williams ,348
            Ross .373 / .395

League average is .350-.360 . The 4 guys listed also have taken the most 3pt shots, averaging 200 attempts this year.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Raptors can't score 2 points easily. Even when DD and Lowry are shooting well they aren't easy buckets. Down a point Raptors aren't favored to win.

                Better than Gasol alone
                nope.

best defensive lineup for the bulls is butler, dunleavy, hinrich, gasol and mirotic. you take out mirotic and replace him with noah, and defensive rating goes from an elite 76.4 to an awful 104.6.

you also go from a +38 net rating down to a -8 with noah on the floor.

                  2pat is working hard.

vs Bucks: 13 rebs in 26 mins.
vs Memphis: 9 rebs in 24 mins.

Good! Brainstorming AND problem-solving skills are must for athletes too!
Yes his rebounding has been much better. I would be comfortable w an experiment of him at atarting 4 if We needed to go bigger at the 3. Is the party line still that JJ isn't in the dog house?

Pat is a hot/cold type of player though. He goes through stretches where he rebounds well, then it always comes back down to his normal unspectacular levels. Same for shooting. He's generally a solid, reliable shooter...then he'll go on a random slump for however many games before snapping out of it.

All season. Recently with Noah out their DRtg is plummeting

                        • Yuck. Just poor offence all around. Hey, Dwane, maybe once your team has missed 90% of their three point attempts you should consider going inside once in a while.

Defence looked better, but our scheme works much better against teams that can't shoot to save their lives. Still, positive sign. Even if the offence is still falling apart. And yes, they generated decent looks. But relying entirely on an outside game will lead to nights like this one. It's been a common criticism of Casey's offence - heavy reliance on guard shooting means high variance in your offence, so you'll win a few games on hot shooting alone, but just as often you'll shoot yourself in the foot.

i feel like you didnt even bother reading this article either. it had nothing to do with noah being out and consequently the DRtg plummeting.

The slide started with Noah ankle injury and missing Dunleavy. Its in the first paragraph.

i guess the defense works when you play against teams that dont shoot 3s? which is like...mostly bottom of the league teams outside of memphis and washington.
