Great HOF class this year. Two of my all time favorite players: Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki and one of the greatest coaches of all time Gregg Pop.

Just saw this posted on the Everything 2022-23 season thread and it reminded me of something.

WHY IS CHRIS BOSH IN THE HALL OF FAME?????

And I don't know the whole list of other super undeserving people, but the sport and league at this point has been going on for too long to put garbage players like Chris Bosh in the hall of fame.

Was he an above average player?? But good enough to be in the "hall of fame"??? I mean it depends what you think, but if you think the hall should be reserved for the truly elite then no.

I didn't watch him play a lot to be fair, so open to hearing what others think.

But come on. LeBron James? As annoying as he can be, sure.

    Dirk Nowitzki? Okay, why not.

Kawhi???? I really hope so but honestly I feel like he's debatable because of the injuries.

And that's the line. Anything worse than Kawhi get them out of here, and prime Chris Bosh is definitely worse than prime Kawhi.

yeah Bosh's resume is weak. 11 All-Star appearances but only 1 time he was All-Star starter. Never first team all NBA

weak relative to what? there are dozens of players in the NBA HOF with worse resume's. if you want it to be more stringent they would have to start over.

11 all star appearances is actually crazy, i wouldn't have guessed that many. that's more than john stockton, david robinson, steve nash, jason kidd, gary payton, paul pierce, dominique wilkins, etc. and the same amount as charles barkley and dr j.

throw in two chips, even as third wheel, and that's a no brainer case. he would have been first ballot most years, but his first year of eligibility included kobe, duncan, and KG so he had to wait a year.

Also worth noting, this is not the NBA hall of fame. It's the basketball HOF, and Bosh also has a gold medal at the Olympics and a bronze medal at the world cup to his name.

Dirk has 14 All-Star appearances, 4 times first team All NBA, 5 times second team All NBA, 3 times third team All NBA, NBA Champion and Finals MVP.

Bosh's resume is just weak in comparison and they are from same era and same position.

oh ok yeah you didn't qualify in your initial statement that you meant his resume is weak compared to dirk's. i agree his resume is weak compared to dirk's. the vast majority of NBA HOFer's resume's are weak compared to dirk's

Well, yeah, there are a spectrum of guys in the HOF. Some of them have far stronger resumes than Bosh, some have weaker ones. If you don't like Bosh in the HOF then there are probably dozens of others you don't want in there.

It's also weak next to Pau Gasol and Dwyane Wade.

he absolutely has a stronger resume than pau. if your argument is the 4 all-nba teams i don't agree because there weren't very many good center's in that era, his main competition was yao and dwight howard, and there's three spots. bosh was competing dirk and KG and duncan at the PF spot. bosh has nearly twice as many all-star's.

More career points, rebounds, assists. Also two time champion and much better international career.

It's the basketball HoF though not the NBA HoF. My guy Toni Kukoc just got inducted last year and If you look at his NBA resume it's not impressive other than being a 3X champion but if you look at his international accolades, he's one of the greatest. There are a lot of players like that in the HOF.

Bosh is a gold medalist, a 2X NBA champion and an 11x all star. I think he's more than deserving.
