Miami might have made 4 straight finals and won 2 in a row...but they lost twice to what many people would consider less talented teams.
There was that finals about a decade ago when the 4 future HOFer Lakers got beat by the possibly no future HOFer Pistons.
You can't win without high level of talent. It's not like the examples I just brought up were untalented teams. However, chemistry probably is the key ingredient overall. You can be the most talented team in the league and still lose in the finals to a team with better chemistry (ie a team that plays better as a team).

The Mavs team that beat the Heat had Dirk. One of the 10 greatest player to ever play the game. #TalentMamba Mentality

There have been tons of talented guys who have been difficult pieces to build with.

Melo's been arguably the best scorer in the league since being drafted. An undeniably talented guy...who it's just really hard to build a team around, and at least partly because he's just not a very good leader. The way he plays just doesn't necessarily help foster chemistry.

But if you bring in Cousins, Lowry would have to maintain his role as "leader" of the locker room.

Chandler that year was the DPOY. They had Kidd, past his prime i know but he was still pretty effective.Mamba Mentality

If Rasheed Wallace, Dennis Rodman and Zach Randolph type personalities can find rosters to thrive in, I can't see why Cousins can't, especially on a perennial playoff team (which the Raptors are slowly becoming).

Talent wins in this league, not chemistry. 2004 Pistons team the only exception. By talent i mean SUPERSTAR talent, not borderline all stars like DeRozan and Lowry.Mamba Mentality
