Last year I said that he's better than Trent. Now it's not even close. He's way better. Offensively they play a little bit the same, they're both flamethrowers, the difference is Monk can create, he's not awkward with the ball and he can finish and make simple layups. He doesn't flop around like a dummy when he goes to the hoop.

Yep. He’s a way better creator for himself and others than Trent. Monk was on my 6th man / combo guard FVV low cost replacement lists years ago…. with Brunson and Trey Burke, lol.

He kept Randle in check after Randle started 4/6.

          Offensively, he has no bag.
          Harsh.
          He is all of 21.
Still going to add more natural weight as he gets older.
Right now Randall is just bigger and much stronger and plays with an edge. Welcome to the NBA playoffs Mr. Mobley
          He'll be OK.

Maybe a pivot in the scheme of things raptors and we draft / get an Assists and Steals first PG.
Who could be paired with a get your own shot type sg and a better percentage but probably suspect defensively 3 point shooter if one is available. Not that he is available or I have a preference for....but the Max Strus type in Miami. Hits a lot of 3s but comes with Jose Calderon level defense.
Just can't bring the band back next year as is. Further observation and patience doesn't seem to be necessary.

Watched the Cavs/Knicks game. I still don't see what makes Evan Mobley special. And I sure as hell don't understand why he's a finalist for DPOY.
The first play of the game was incredible and he proceeded to disappear. I know Scottie wouldn’t disappear in a game like that.

He will be, but its more so about the hype he's been getting already.

He did well defensively on Randle, thats his calling card at the moment.

Accepts his role as 6th man while Trent is reluctant 6th man. Just not the same

Would Nurse even play Monk? Defence is Nurse’s #1 priority and Monk isn’t exactly an enthusiastic defender.

                      Same level defender as Trent.

Mike Brown got huge contributions from Trey Lyles (Canadian Bo Cruz) and Alex Len last night. Yes, THAT Alex Len. In a playoff game.

                        There’s your answer right there.

I mean look at the benches in this Lakers-Grizz game. Not sure what level of player people think is going to be added to the Raps bench next season.

If he defense plays like Trent then “he doesn’t fit us”… per Nurse. Monk is probably worse on D than Trent.

Also, we don’t run a motion offense to extract value out of him on that end, so what’s the point? Saving money… sure.

It will never cease to amaze me that Scott Foster is allowed to ref in the NBA, let alone the most high profile Sunday playoff game in the opening round. Just incredible.

If Davis is out then this series is over.
