Shoot !
Gradey is a versatile wing who is a high level shooter and secondary scorer with intriguing upside. He’s one of the best 3pt shooters in college ball and has an elite NBA skill.
He’s a fluid athlete who really knows how to move without the ball and find room for his shot. He’s not an elite run/jump athlete but he plays above the rim and has more than enough burst and bounce for the league.
He fits the mold of a floor spacing big guard/wing with some shot creation ability. He measured well at the combine, coming in at 6-6 1/4 without shoes on, which is great size for a NBA wing. He’s not the longest player but overall has really good size for the position.
Has shown a nose for the ball and attacks the glass on both ends. And has an overall good feel for the game and seems to always be in the right place at the right timeCode:Season School Conf G FG% 2P% 3P% FT% TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS 2022-23 Kansas Big 12 18 .417 .483 .362 .868 4.9 1.6 1.4 0.3 1.4 2.6 13.6 Career Kansas 18 .417 .483 .362 .868 4.9 1.6 1.4 0.3 1.4 2.6 13.6

I'm less fussed about the number of shooters on the floor than I am the lack of natural scorers. For example, when you have Dick, Trent, and OG on the floor with Pascal and Barnes, you have 3 shooters but I still don't know who is going to actually score buckets in that group against good, dialed-in defenses in the playoffs. Siakam can be great at times but everything is so hard for him - he can't be your #1 option on offence.
Raps are the only team out East with playoffs aspirations that doesn't have a naturally gifted scorer in its core group. And compared to the firepower out west (where every team feels like it has 2 or 3 great scorers), Raps are like the Canadian military. That's gotta change.

This is where we disagree. This last season showed Scottie cannot thrive next to Pascal. It also makes perfect basketball sense. Both non shooting PF who need the ball in their hands to be effective.
If we wanna keep Pascal we should look to move Scottie. That could at least move us towards contention. They just won't work together.

Show me the splits where Scottie thrived when Pascal wasn't playing beside him and you'd have a good argument. Unfortunately no such evidence exists.
That is just setting Scottie up for failure.
