SIs fansided.com released their 2012 draft re-do:
I'm not sure they gave much thought to fit as much as pure player rankings, but here are where Ross and the Raps #8 pick ended up:
"14) Milwaukee – Terrence Ross, G/F, Washington
Terrence Ross is a lot of fun.
That point was driven home for the casual fan when the former Washington swingman won the dunk contest in 2013, but the following year brought the chance for Ross to explode for 51 points in a single game to further cement that status. Beyond the flash, though, is a solid wing player with a high level of skill and talent, and that is the bigger takeaway.
At 6-foot-7, Ross is extremely athletic, and that helps to profile him as a plus defender down the line, though he isn’t there yet. The best development for Ross has been in his long-range shooting, where he is shooting 38.4% combined over the past two seasons, and players with his athleticism and that shooting touch make ideal “3-and-D” candidates.
Some believe that Ross has more upside than he probably does, but the market for effective role players on the wing is such that he’ll be employed for a long time."
"8) Toronto – Terrence Jones, F, Kentucky
Jones was a forgotten man at Kentucky, and that has also been the case at times during his NBA career. That should undoubtedly change.
The 6-foot-8 forward has proved to be a fantastic compliment to Dwight Howard in Houston, and while he has battled injury issues in his third season, Jones has picked up where he left off after a breakout in 2013-2014. Jones is a tremendous finisher around the rim thanks to an ever-growing bag of tricks, and he has enough shooting touch to keep defenses honest.
If there is an area of improvement, it would be in floor-spacing (especially given his current team in Houston), but Jones’ 29.9% career mark from 3-point land won’t kill his value. Jones isn’t a superstar by any stretch, but he just turned 23 years old and he is already a solidly above-average player at the power forward spot."
