I think that this friday game is going to be huge for this team. Tournament game against arguably the best team in the league and division rival. Let's hope everybody's healthy and ready to play. Full rotation should be interesting to see.

On this point... any news on Koloko?
How are back to back demoralizing losses going to be huge for this team?
    I mean, in a good way ....

Cavs ain't trading Mobley. It's like suggesting we trade Scottie.

Now Mitchell on the other hand is probably doable, but would cost draft capital and I'm not doing that.
You think they place Mobley higher in importance over Mitchell? Would have thought other way around since Mobley hasn't shown he's a guy to build around.

My guess is Mitchell ends up with the Knicks, who will give up Barrett, Quickley and a whole bunch of assets for him.

Mitchell is leaving after next season. He will be the marquee free agent and able to go wherever he wants. He's not staying in Cleveland.

So yes, 100% without a doubt they place Mobley as higher in importance. He is the most important guy on their team.

I was expecting a little better than this on the injury front.

Really unfortunate what losing Koloko does the rotation and to the options available to Darko/Scottie etc. He's a better center than Precious, would have all but guararnteed us a top 5 defense, was developing a feel as a passing hub, and can shoot a lot better than Jak. We'd just be that much more imposing with him on the court even if he doesn't solve our offensive issues.

Plantar Fasciitis sucks, I would know. Groin injury even worse I believe. OG with a classic OG injury. Now Dennis seems like he's banged up. Scottie had his weird hip thing last night as well.

At least Otto has been borderline playable. It really would have been nice to be fully healthy for this opening stretch. Oh well.

Ty Lue is not even playing Bones right now.
What will it take to get him?

As long as it's Pascal and ZERO picks then I'm down.

                    • LaVine fits what we need.. a guy who can get his own offense from the perimeter, and shoot the 3. He has played on top 5 defenses.. so that's not an issue either. He can be an empty calorie guy but we need a bit of that. I think he diminishes Pascal's role completely though. So a swap of some kind would be preferred over trying to keep all our starters and making it fit. Plus the cap would be insane assuming we bring everyone back.

LaVine is basically a 30% max guy. So that's OG and Pascal's next deal. Can't have 3 of those guys on the roster, and in another year give Scottie the max.

Feels like there is a 3 team trade here somewhere. But again the value of Pascal will be low since he's an expiring. I'd want more than just LaVine for him.

                      Maybe something like:

With picks from OKC added. Likely going to the Bulls here.

                      • "Raptors have some level of interest" is just below par to "Jays are dark horse for Ohtani"

Dumping Thad makes it a great trade

I'd take just Lavine for Pascal. That's an easy yes.

                            • Lavine/og/Scottie makes some sense as there’s a good combo of size, shooting, defence, playmaking. Each guy’s weakness is another guy’s strength and at least two of the three have all the qualities you want at a time. The question is whether Zach will be healthy and motivated, and if Scottie would defer to Zach too much.

So your point is that if we trade everyone but Scottie and Pascal then theoretically we could build a roster that maybe would work with those two starting?
I think my point has been pretty clear that we already have the pieces to have a pretty effective rotation around those two when healthy.

And that there's not really any theoretical to this. We won 48 games two seasons ago with those two guys, and Scottie is way better now than he was then.
