Same old story.. this time against a better team. Gave up 29 in the first, 61 by half time. The team looked like they were aggressive early though. Pascal grabbed a rebound after shouting it was his, ran up the floor and tried to make a bucket. Scottie followed suit. It was like they were going to be different this time, except they weren't really. Eventually Pascal decided to fade out and not try as hard. Scottie however did and had a great individual game. But again not much help for him.
OG and the bench was a weird look that sort of worked this time around. Precious and Chris were really good and hustling. Although they had some bone headed plays that lead to turnovers. Chris had that great rebound and dunk after a Gary airball (although it was likely tipped) late. Didn't mind the bench staying in the game as they helped rally them to a closer game. It just fell off when Jokic decided to make some crazy plays with no time left on the clock. It's just tough when you are playing catch up all game long. And again down double digits at points.
I can see why Boston rallied a couple of years ago when they traded Schroeder. We have no options at PG since Malachi is even worse. But Dennis is mostly a bench guard and it's been showing more and more this month. He had good chemistry with Jak early in the season. But now not so much.
Jak had a bad game again. OG is not showing much max potential this season.
Not really sure what more to add. Denver was beatable and they lost. But so were a lot of teams like Charlotte, Atlanta, NY twice, etc. Just think the team is poised to make the lottery. Sucks that they won't get rewarded for getting there. Raptors are now 12th in the East. 4.5 games back from 6th (ie, playoff spot) with 6 teams ahead of them in the standings. Still about 3/4 of a season left but that's terrible.

Masai needs to put everyone not named Scottie on the table. Blow it up. Then at least we could be losing on purpose and selling hope. We're sure as hell not selling wins.

It's starting to look likely we keep our pick. Won't take much for Utah and Memphis to pass us in the standings and then we're bottom 6.

The 6th worst team has a 45.8% chance at a top 6 pick. If we get into the 5th worst spot, then we have a 60% chance of keeping it, still hardly a given. Really need a bottom 4 spot to say it is truly likely to keep the pick (80%).
At no point this season will it be "likely" we keep that pick.
