  • Everything Immanuel Quickley

IQ looks like a great fit with Scottie and the team.

    24 years old.

    .598 TS% with .395 from 3 this year, with .132 ws/48
.097 WP40 is meh, but down from .145 last year, so should trend up
    2.3 BPM

Takes quality shots, isn't too bad defensively, good ball handler, smart player.

If there is one that is already up by someone I've blocked, then the mods can merge it. Hopefully I will still be able to see it tho, since I'm quite excited about having IQ.

Loving those shooting percentages, and if the WP40 is on the upswing, even better. Defense ain't bad, plus the guy's got some smart moves on the court.

His 3 ball has been on point, his 2 point attempts have been a struggle. I hope his runners/floaters start to drop, maybe he can get a couple easy transition buckets to boost it back up.

Overall I like what I see so far.

Yeah, layup finishing is on his list for the offseason work. His floater game is generally really good so I suspect we'll see that come around, but his rim finishing has long been a weakness.

Just so much quickness and athleticism, he should be able to get all the way to the rack like Maxey does for the scoop (even if that's one of Maxey's superpowers). He did so for a nice left finish the other night.

The floaters are a great tool to have when things get really tight, but consistently using his penultimate step into a power finish could take his game to the next level.

I am going to search a video of IQ dunking in open space like Maxey.

He definitely doesn't have that same vertical explosion like Maxey does. But he has explosive speed like Maxey which is why I envision him accelerating into fingerrolls, a la Steve Nash, where he's got a guy on his hip or a lane, and boom - he's at the cup.

It just seems he's accustomed to releasing early - after gather+1, or even right off the gather into his floater - rather than the full gather-1-2. Seems like a habit that can be broken. And maybe it will come naturally as he gets better at maintaining his dribble.

We match any offer for him this offseason, I am also excited of the future alongside Scottie and Barrett.

Yeah his layups are always just a bit off the mark, but he gets there without much issue, definitely seems fixable.
