Which is why I've been saying I hope they bring in a big forward. And have also been saying that we can't start all three of IQ, RJ and Gradey and expect to be a good defensive team. We need a bigger body along with two of those three, as well as Scottie and Jak.Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

That's not always going to be the case unless we get an upgrade at the wing spot. If we play Giannis, Zion or Randle you need Scottie on them as Ochai/RJ are too small and Jak is just way to slow to handle those guys.
But ultimately this should be the way.
The whole context of the discussion was based on what sort of player we would ideally have beside Scottie.

Long term we absolutely need a big forward 3+D guy. Short term, we can still be solid without it, but the long term path to competing around Scottie definitely requires essentially another OG type.

OG type 3&D's in the draft: Keshad Johnson, Kyshawn George, Melvin Ajinca.
George REALLY doesn't project as a defender. Big bet there that he can become a good defender with the tools he has - right now has shown very little in way of defensive mindset/impact. Don't mind the swing at 31 if he's there, but it's a swing.
Kinda the same think for Ajinca. Easy to find a prospect with the size and shooting results, but they usually don't look like real defenders.
Dunn is the same but the opposite - looks like a real difference maker as a forward defender, but can't shoot at all.
Bobi Klintman is an interesting big 3+D type prospect I'd try. Though again ideally at 31. Another guy that grades out poorly defensively for now, but a swing you could take, and he has good size.
DaRon Holmes might be a guy who could have that multi-positional defensive role, though not all the way up to guard like OG could. But he can potentially guard 3-5, and if there's a shot there (there are nice signs) I'd be interested in trying him in that role.
I like Tristan da Silva as well as a 3+D type, though he brings some additional pop offensively. Needs work defensively but has the size and tools and doesn't grade out quite as poorly as some others on the list.
No home runs like OG (who was incredible slip in a better draft), but there are some options. Those last two I could see at 19. And then there are always some slips, though not that many big wings likely to slide to us, and even if they do it's likely a project like Salaun rather than a guy who looks good on both ends out of the box. I guess maybe Cody Williams could slip, and if he can put on strength he might be able to play that role longer term.

My bias right now would be in favour of adding more firepower and talent on the perimeter.

Raps will likely lean towards being a stronger defensive team over having a great offense. IQ, Scottie and RJ will have to prop up our offense with help from Gradey. Somebody is going to have to make a leap.

I think at 19/31 if we get any of these guys I'll be pretty happy:
Ware
Missi
McCain
Filipowski
Shannon Jr
Holmes
Kolek
Smith
Dunn
Mogbo
Scheierman
Edey I'm leaving out but wouldn't cry if we drafted him, just prefer that we don't.
