  • I bet my best friend that Edey would average over 16.5 minutes over at least 40 games as a rookie. I think I like my odds, but winning depends on him being drafted by a team that wants to feature him from the get-go. What do you think?

If he gets drafted by the Lakers say, how many minutes are you pencilling him in for? I really wouldn't be surprised to see him start there to protect AD.

If Rockets trade Sengun for KD. No clue what they're doing.

Sengun is one of the better young players. Trading him for a 36 year old KD which won't push you to contender status doesn't make sense.

They'll make the Playoffs though if thats their aim or if they have other bigger moves planned.
They could be after both KD and or Booker. Houston is up to something according to BW.

or scouts like us have no clue about edey. I think he’ll be gone by 15
I'm rooting hard for Edey to be gone before 19. Before 15 sounds good to me.

        • Long wing or long PG or fave big (so many options!) with pick 19. George looks like a sharpshooting Banton and I think that would really appeal to a team valuing floor-game, shooting, and length.

Mogbo looks like a guaranteed-production kind of guy, Boucher replacement at 31?

            Suns aren't dealing Booker.

            • If Edey is still there at 19 this draft is incredibly deep.

Not this season, but if they don't come close to contending then they'll be looking to tank or that is what Windy is insinuating from that clip I posted.

They don't have their picks so why tank?

                  • Here's my draft board

If they fall to 19 grab them: Topic, McCain, Salaun
Otherwise: DeRon Holmes II, Kyshawn George,

If they fall to 31 grab them: Edey, Missi, Dunn, Filipowski
                    Otherwise: Dadiet, Mogbo

It would take too long to explain fully so just listen to the clip. Starts around the 8 minute mark.

Very basic outline is that Houston owned Brooklyn's FRP in 2025 and Brooklyn owned Phoenix's FRP in 2025 & 2027. Houston gave Brooklyn back their FRP in exchange for Phoenix's FRSP, so Houston now owns those PHX picks (2025 and maybe 2027). Windy thinks if the Suns will want their FRP's back (to tank) if the season goes badly and Houston can now make that happen for a price (KD/Booker etc). Houston has cornered the market for those players should they become available. Risky move from Houston giving up the BKN FRP's which are super valuable now that they've committed to a tank.

Those who think that his game does not fit in the NBA today, will repent.

I don't think Phoenix wants to tank and I don't think Houston is trying to get KD. Phoenix just got Bud and gave him a 5 year deal I believe, and has a billionaire owner that wants to win (not tank).

What is likely the truth is Houston just wanted more picks and they got that. They basically got double what they sent back. Even though the Nets pick in 2025 looks great (even if Bridges wasn't moved), the Rockets like wanted more draft capital now so they can make a big splash. Like give some team 4/5 picks to get a guy they want. And this trade gave them more quantity. The quality might not be there, but for most of these star trades, the draft assets are used as quantity not quality for the most part these days.

Houston can likely one up any team for a star that wants out.

Yeah I still done see them having any interest in dealing Booker. KD I can see being dealt potentially.

No takers? I hope that means I set my over/under numbers pretty realistically if not advantageously.
