Turned it off to take the dog out right before the Celtics pick.. dam i would have been happy with schierman, guys picked after him may end up being better player. But he is an NBA rotation player no doubt

So, I do like Kolek, but I think he’s too small and old. He played really well this year. I also don’t see that much potential in Furphy.
Flip reads the game well, good passer, can stretch the floor. I would actually say Olynyk is a good comp. for him. He doesn’t have the length to be a rim protector just seems to be in the right positions. Could be a really good back up big.
Tyler Smith can already shoot the NBA 3, 6’9 with a 7’1 wingspan, a good athlete, needs to put on some muscle but he can play the 4 and 5 in small ball lineups. He’s ambidextrous, could have a real interesting inside game. Seems like a good kid. He was a little lost on D in Gleague and was mentioned to be soft. Obviously the last two things are not great, but he’s 19 and was playing against men…I like his upside, and he fills a position of need.

They could trade #31 to the Blazers who have 2 picks: #34 and #40. With 2 picks, I'd try to get at least 1 big SF, like Keshad Johnson or Melvin Ajinca.
I’m guessing they know exactly what they can get for Bruce Brown at this point. It will be interesting to see if they actually pick up his option. I’m hoping he’s not around for training camp.

Raptors see the benefit in having a pause between rounds to sniff out more deals, instead of being on the clock.
Instead of having only a couple of minutes to decide what to do with the pick, they can sleep on it, while also having the luxury of time to sift through any trade offers that might come their way.
“We had some long debates in there. We’re like, ‘should we trade to get into the late 20s or should we have a little fun with 31?’” said Webster. “… We knew that this was sort of a benefit of having 31, was to be able to have these next 18 hours to field calls. I think what typically happens in the draft is it very quickly turns to Round 2 and you have two minutes. Logistically you can’t take all the calls you’d want to, so now we have some time. We also have some time to sort of reconsider our list as we think about 31 … So we’ll probably have some pretty big fights tomorrow in the morning about who we would take and then simultaneously take these calls and say, ‘OK, could we get multiple picks? Could we move back a little bit and still get the same guy?’ But yeah, I don’t know, it’s a first. It’s a bit of a novelty for all of us here to have two days of the draft, so let’s see what happens.”

You can pickup a 3rd string C, like Biz, pretty much anytime you want.

Jonathan Mogbo....that's the guy I want, but knowing this organization they'll pick Kansas guy Johnny Furphy.
I'm still bummed about passing Yves Missi, I guess we're going with version 6"4.."Never apologize for coming to me. Office hours are for patients.
My kitchen is always open to friends"

A lot of the guys I was personally wanting kept getting taken which sucked. Really got screwed on that 4-way coin flip. McCain would have been super solid.
Risacher going #1 was a ballsy move for the Hawks (knowing their history it likely doesn't pan out).
Clingan dropping all the way to Portland was not something I expected. I wonder what that means for Ayton?
Fred being on Houston is really going to help Sheppard out a lot. They play a lot alike.
I like Castle but not the fit with the Spurs. They need a shooter/scorer to help space the floor for Wemby. Now they have Sochan and Castle on the perimeter? And then they had a chance to take Dillingham but gave him up for a 16 year old?
Meanwhile Minny coming out of the blue and taking Dillingham. Weird guy to take for that team. If they are thinking of a cheap, long term Conley replacement they got the wrong PG IMO.
I don't like the fit of Holland in Detroit. I think that pick will be ruined.
Washington trading Devi was stupid. He's only 23 and is exactly the type of forward that excels in today's NBA. Likely means Kuzma will be gone too.
Memphis grabbed Big Edey. I think that makes sense. They had a lot of success with Steven Adams and he was as immobile as any other big that's ever played. He also set strong screens and that will be Edey's bread and butter. Ja will have free lanes to the basket. Playing next to JJJ will also help defensively.
I believe Topic was a draft and stash so made sense there for OKC. Plus he has a similar profile to that of Giddey who they just traded. No idea why they traded in to get Dillon Jones of all people.
Ware was taken by Miami which was interesting. I thought he was going to drop to 19. Are they thinking Bam to PF? I guess Ware is a stretch big so that's likely the attraction.
Lakers got super lucky getting Knecht all the way at 17. He's much older and NBA teams are still snobs when it comes to age. Same with Scheierman in Boston at 30. He was in their range, but I think they got a good one.
