Klintman hasn't been discussed much here but he could be a good fit as well.
Strengths: Klintman is a big, versatile forward whose ability to space the floor, finish in transition and make plays on defense helped him carve out a big role in the NBL.
Weaknesses: He has things to prove with his feel for the game and consistency on both ends of the floor.
The verdict: Klintman played a rotation role in his lone collegiate season, but he flashed his talent more consistently in Australia. At his best, he fits a coveted mold with his size, shooting and mobility on the defensive end. -- Jonathan Givony
So you're basing your entire opinion on where they were drafted?
I'm basing it on how they play the game of basketball.
I think it's a valid comp. Kaminsky was a beast in college who didn't transfer over to NBA that well. Same may be true for Filipowski. Both of them are relatively unathletic, thin, and have alligator arms.

Kaminsky wasn't a top tier recruit and didn't play particularly well until year 3.
Filipowski was an elite recruit and had fantastic freshman season and an ever better sophomore season. In year 2 Kaminsky was garbage. He also played in a much more difficult conference against much better players.
Filipowski has the 11th best BPM in college and 3rd best among underclassmen behind only Sheppard and Clingan.
So the Spurs turned Jak into a unprotected FRP in 2031 and pick swap in 2030 (top 1 protected), from the Timberwolves. Considering Gobert's age and that Minny is bound to screw up, those could be lottery picks.

Nah based on their college career. Kaminsky was a great college player hence why he was a high draft pick.
But you didn't answer my question. In what way Flip is better than Kaminsky? I remember Kaminsky when he was playing for the Wisconsin Badgers so don't make up bullshit now.

Spurs are a well run franchise.
I propose no more trades with the Spurs. They have Masai's number.

Kaminsky sucked his first 2 years in college and Filipowski was elite his first 2 years in college. Let's compare apples to apples and their first 2 years in college and it's not even close. There is also the large talent disparity between their conferences. There is also Filipowski being an elite recruit and Kaminsky being not one.
Kaminsky played 4 years in college and only in his senior year did he look like an NBA player. Filipowski looked like a NBA player his first year in college.

Masai won the most important trade with the spurs. They got us on Thad and spending another pick to get back poetle. I still have us up on the spurs on the scoreboard.

You're seriously underselling how good Kaminsky was when he left college. First team All American. Player of the Year. Wooden Award. 19 & 8 for the NCAA runners-up.
Do you think Filipowski is capable of putting up more than 11 and 4 in the NBA? And do you think his body can hold up to playing the 4 or 5 against the bigger guys in the NBA? He's going to get his ass kicked. I'm not picking him just because he's a tall guy who can hit a 3.
I wouldn't hate the pick, I just think there are better options.

lol. You're worried about college not transferring over to NBA, and you want to pick Kolek? How many white PGs translated in the last 20 years?

"White PG"? Not sure why it's "white PGs", but here's a list for starters:
How about:
Steve Nash
Mark Price
John Stockton
Jason Williams
Ricky Rubio
Steve Kerr
Goran Dragic
Kirk Hinrich
TJ McConnell
Jose Calderon
Steve Blake
Matthew Dellavedova
Payton Pritchard
Luka Doncic
.......
He doesn't need to be a star, just like Filipowski doesn't need to be a star. He needs to run the team, and he's elite at that skill already. Also, for you, he has that dog in him.
