I actually like all the picks, just would have much preferred Filipowski over Mogbo. I don't think we took the best player there. Rooting for Mogbo to prove me wrong.

He's dating a mormon. And his agent likely forced his way to Utah who ended up drafting him one spot down.

National Defensive Player of the year, not conference. HUGE difference there. Flynn was not a national DPOY.

Yeah true. Too bad we didn't get another big for the bench because that will be essential to get the defense back in order (and Jak's health). Mogbo is too small to be a C.

I think the hope is he is a C in the Draymond Green mold. Not a traditional C.

really it's almost the same college resume and player profile as mitchell (except mitchell was first team all big-12 rather than big 12 POY, and mitchell won a title where houston didn't), hence my original reaction

Mitchell shot 45% from 3 in his final year in college, which some thought could be an outlier. Maybe it was, but he was back up to 36% last year on low volume. Just needs to bump that 3P% up a tad and he becomes a very useful bench piece.

Yeah funny that Mitchell also won national DPOY. We have loaded up on defensive backup PGs.

I will say that Shead seems to a much more polished PG than Mitchell on offense. A lot more assists and a lot less turnovers.

Yep... he took it personally. He fired Casey and traded DeMar because of the Lebronto humiliation. Raps were laughingstocks last year - you knew he was going to do something about it. Will be interesting to see if he brings in more dawgs with our cap space.
