Big question is how Edey fits with what Darko's trying to do on both ends. He sets good screens and I think his passing game is there to fit into that hub role. But otherwise I'm not too sure.
As many have noted Darko may not be here by the end of next season so I wouldnt worry how he fits with Darko. I'd worry how he fits into the modern nba.
If Jokic has played in the NCAA he'd have gone top 5.
Now you're just making stuff up. With Jokic, people were overly focused on his lack of athleticism. But he has sky-high IQ. Does Edey have a high IQ? I don't know. Workouts will shed some light on that, but it won't be until he's playing the NBA we'll know for sure. If he does, he'll succeed. If he doesn't he'll join the long list of dud bigs.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.
Is anyone actually wanting to target Edey for the Raps? Whether we have one or two first round picks there are bigger areas of need than Edey. Even with our second rounder I’d have to look at fit.
I feel he'll be drafted and I hope he carves out a successful career. I want him to land on a team with good development and where he will get a legit chance.

No one was overly focused on anything about Jokic. He was a 19 year old nobody foreign player who went mid 2nd round. If he had played in the NCAA that wouldn't have been the case.
Edey is a 4 year college player. They're aren't comparable.
It's crazy to think that a 7'4" player that averages 24 points and 12 rebounds in College ISN'T the #1 pick ... 10-15 years ago it would be a no brainer, no? Lol
The question with Edey for me is, how does he fit with Scotties game? Scottie racing up the court and waiting for Edey to lumber up there isn't going to work. Need quicker guys that can catch and finish if we're talking bigs.

As we showed earlier in the thread, he's literally faster up the court than Gradey is .. I don't see it being a huge issue.

I didn't see that posted but I'm still kind of skeptical. I haven't seen much of him finishing in transition which is something you would think Raps would want in a big playing with Scottie. Doesnt shoot much either it seems like. Is he a good defender at least?
