I also already made up my mind on who I want to draft in the 1st round(Pacers pick). Devin Carter or Bub Carrington.
Devin Carter gives me Lowry vibes.
    Carrington has high offensive upside.

    • I'm such a big fan of Carter and Carrington that I'd consider them at 6 as well. I'm not convinced that guys like Cody Williams or Walter or Clingan.....guys who are projected to be top 8 picks are better than Carter and Carrington.

I am guessing based on his current game.
Of course he can be projected to any other bigs, but that's projection. May or may not pan out.
BroLo was never projected to be a good 3 pt shooter.
I agree.. hence why I compared him to a young BroLo.

We have 1 PG on the roster in IQ. It's clearly one of our bigger needs. We have 2 good veteran centers on the roster, so clearly way better set at C than PG. We need someone to play when IQ sits or is out.
Then go after a guy like Fultz or Tyus Jones or Delon Wright in the offseason. There's plenty of them.

All we'd need to do is surround Edey with at least two DPOY calibre candidates (like Jrue & Giannis) to make him playable. Seems easy enough.

IQ is the ONLY point guard on this team. Barnes is really more of a point forward and he's the backup. So we need a 3rd PG that can play. A quality one.
Yeah we are using Bruce Brown as a backup PG. I love Devin Carter. I also like Reed Sheppard a lot. I know he's not the greatest PG and could end up just being a backup. But he's such a good shooter and plays really smart defense.

You can draft Edey and Still draft Carrington instead of Kolek if you want. Carter looks good, for sure, but basically a bit better than Kolek, and you if you gamble that Edey will be there at 31, you could have Carter and Edey, but personally, I'd just go Edey and Kolek or Carrington, I'm not that excited about the PGs in this draft.

Sheppard is only in the conversation for the top 6 pick, which is not where we would take Edey.

Are you saying Brook Lopez is a bad defender and the only reason he has done well is because had great defenders around him?

No.. but we're talking PG's. I'd want Reed in the top 6 if we get to keep that pick. If we don't get that pick or he's taken before ours, then I would take Carter at the Pacers pick over Edey. I'm not a big Edey fan. I would rather try my chances at getting him in free agency several years later.

I'd much rather draft Carter and be set with a young PG who can grow with the team instead of some old retread who we regret signing.

The fascination with Edey is making you guys delusional, already trying to restructure our roster around Boban 2.0.

I'm ok with Sheppard at 6, tho not excited, but he looks solid. Certainly don't want Carter and Sheppard. I'm not against Carter, just think Kolek has similar potential, and Carrington has a higher ceiling, so I'd rather take Edey and Kolek or Carrington. I agree that Sheppard is a good pick if we stay top 6 and he's there.

Literally no one is saying that..? Lol

I think there is a real chance he goes in the Lottery though, which is a far cry from what many here think he is worthy of.

Literally no one needed to say that
I believe he's going higher than most are thinking, he's getting a lot of good press

This is also freaking delusional. Now Edey is Brook Lopez? Have you ever watched Lopez play? He had a great mid range game on day 1. All the way out to the 3pt line. Edey can't shoot beyond 3 feet.
