Not everything is about trades, if I was referencing trades I would have said so. If I said I think we paid fair value for IQ would you assume that means I wanna trade him?
Allens current deal was signed 3 seasons ago so pretty damn irrelevant at this point. The fact Jak got less signing his deal 2 years later speaks to how good a deal it is.
Boston is gonna have to blow that team up soon, and will probably want a guy exactly like Jak with a much smaller contract.
I made the same comment about Jaks deal looking better when Hartenstein got signed and you were crickets then.

Jak’s deal looks bad in comparison to: Gafford, Naz Reid, Mitch Robinson, Zubac, Bitadze, Wendell Carter, Horford, JV, etc…
Backup C, backup C, perpetually injured, hey an actual starting C, 15 MPG backup C, hey another starting C, 37 year old backup C, and I love JV but he's down to "plays for the Wizards" at this stage.

The Raptors are signing Bruno Fernando, per a source. It's a non-guaranteed deal. Basically, come in to camp and compete for a roster spot. Some guarantees would kick in if he makes the team. Not an Exhibit 10; he's not 2-way eligible, no 905 implication.
How many years is he from being 2 years away?

Basically takes JFL spot as the unguaranteed guy.

In the grand scheme of things Jaylen Brown is a nobody. You would think they'd have more issue with Kawhi who actually sued them. And he only left the team because of injury. Again you and Brown are making a mountain out of a mole hill here.
It's not Kawhi's injury.
Even Lawrence Frank has issues with the team kicking Kawhi out.

He can play now, he just is what he is. Defensive center and not much else. If we need someone to eat up 10 mpg at the C spot behind Jak and Kelly he could do it. I'd still much rather have Koloko back since he could be so much more. Not a terrible guy to take a flyer on. He's just turning 26 with 5 years of NBA experience. He's the kind of center Golden has been gushing over. Super cheap but somewhat serviceable.Last edited by golden; Fri Aug 2, 2024, 09:57 PM.
