Nah, Fernando is not serviceable. Terrible advanced stats (epm) unlike Bitadze. Must mean we’re going all in on the the tank season.

His EPM isn't very different than Bitadze if you look at their careers. Slightly worse but that could be chalked up to the team he's playing on. He's definitely a negative on offense but he's serviceable on defense. I'd still rather Koloko but if he's not cleared kicking the tires on Bruno makes some sense.

I agree, not sure he even makes final roster, but that end roster spot is generally not a good player. I'd much rather have drafted Filipowski for that role but we went with Mogbo so lets see if he can beat out Bruno for 3rd C minutes.

What does that even mean? He's playing basketball and had 2 years of super high level play at Duke. He looked great in summer league. What could an interview possibly tell you that would make a difference? I guarantee he would have been drafted right after Utahs pick if they didn't take him, he was easily the best talent left on the board. I'd rather have the guy who plays better basketball than the guy who aced the interview.

Yeah, not saying this is your opinion or whatever, I just think that reasoning for us passing on him is dumb as shit. A guy dating his former nanny is nothing compared to what most NBA players are up to. Let alone their relationship to their parents.

DAR + Wood both expiring contracts for Poeltl.
Incoming Lakers are tradeable assets in February for the Raptors
while Poeltl can address the Lakers starting bigman alongside Anthony Davis. Poeltl the 3 footer specialist would allow AD to draw out defenders, AD is more of a threat from outside.

Raptors can prepare for the 2025 deep draft with better odds to get a needle mover

win win for both sides

LOL the Raptors wouldn't be trading a good player for him. They'd be making such a trade only for significant draft assets coming back.
