This explains Andrew's non participation in Team Canada.
      Condolences to the family.

Man, the Warriors had been dealing with a lot this season.

      • Here's another one:

What if...Quickley doesn't actually suck on defense? He's got the physical tools and he's just hitting the age where most young players figure it out. Too much to ask for him to actually guard POA? I'm not so sure.

i'd be happy with IQ being neutral on defense. His value is going to be on the other end mostly. Big year for a lot of these guys.

          • Anyone else wonder what Houston does with their Sengun/Green problem? They're not going to sign both of them to a max, so I figure one of them getting moved this year .. my guess they move on from Green. Sengun is too much of a rarity for what he does.

He wouldn't be a bad piece to put beside BBQ ... maybe a Gradey, Brown, picks for Green?
That leaves us pretty exposed on D, but god damn .. that would be a fun team to watch.

Houston has been leveraging to try and trade for KD or Booker. Remember they traded BKN's FRP, which is virtually a lock for top 5 in the draft, for PHX's future FRP's. Houston wants PHX to fail this season and blow it up so they can return their FRP's in a trade and get KD or Booker back.

                • Okoro resigns with the Cavs for 3 years, $38M. I suspect there are some non-guarantees in that deal but not sure. Either way that's about the MLE.

I'd guess Okoro got a player option in year 3. If his agent was good he did anyways.

                      • Who makes the rotation off the bench and how deep will the rotation go this season? Under Nurse it was usually a pretty tight rotation of 7 - 8 guys, but for the regular season on a rebuilding team with lots of players to develop?

                        Gradey/Brown, whomever doesn't start
                        Mitchell
                        Ochai
                        Olynyk
                        Boucher

                        Walter
                        Shead
                        Mogbo

                        • Scottie, Boucher and Mogbo in action. Maybe Mogbo is the type who looks better in a structured game, but not looking great here. High, loose dribble and getting blown past on defense a fair bit.

                          • They definitely got the top 2 right. But I got Kerr at 3 and Daigneault at 4. Great list.

Meanwhile, Boucher looking like an absolute stud. (so grain of salt might be in order)

Boucher is a legit NBA rotation player. He should look like a stud against what looks like non-pros.
