    I don't think that's true. He defers a lot early in the game. Gets the ball and he passes it right back to someone else, then parks himself in the corner. That's on him to want it. Giannis always had that mentality. Scottie only seems to have it in the 4th quarter.
    Deferring early in the game to get your teammates involved is a classic PG mentality, like CP3 or Lowry. If you're needed, you take over later in the game, or in those key moments that swing the momentum. I think that Scottie views himself as a PG, so I would guess he's trying to find that balance. Patience.

      PG's also have the ball and get to make decisions about how to involve their teammates, they don't hang around the perimeter ball-watching. for like the millionth time, i think his unselfishness is one of the things that makes him most special and i hate the 'heliocentric' brand of basketball you seem to think i want for him.

      but i also think he sees the court like a savant should have more opportunities to make decisions with the ball as the guy they are trying to develop into a 'face of the league.'.
