  • So that was a big time boot kicking. Hurts when Precious has an 18/11 game against you with a +13 off the bench. And that includes time with Hartenstein on the bench with an ankle issue.

In that second half it really felt like the schedule caught up to them. 3rd game in 4 nights will do that. Have to play the 4th game in 6 nights on Monday as well. That one will likely be ugly too. The rebounding differential was a story. But their stars stepped up and ours didn't. Hope Scottie is fine because he was pointing at his back at times. Yet Scottie always seems to look like he's in pain.

RJ was our best Raptor but he wasn't hitting free throws. Got to the line. I thought the ball movement and defense was great in the first quarter. Randle stepped up his game and just toyed with the Raptors though. Easy triple double for him. And Brunson just caught fire. That little brush screen they have at the top of the perimeter is so tough to challenge. They stagger two bigs and just get Brunson open enough for a quick 3. A play we should try to copy to get a good look off for IQ (have to wait for Jak to get back I guess).

Jontay had a lot of rookie moments. But still like him. Brown was really bad in this one. I liked Dick's minutes. He made two corner 3's.. missed another. But also did a good job getting a rebound tipped in out of Randle's hands. The potential is looking good there.

Hard to really evaluate the team with this schedule loss looming. But there is some potential there. Still need to fill a lot of wholes though. Would also be easier if we had Jak instead of Thad playing. That's a few games now where we know he would have made a difference. Likely not enough to win the game, but enough to not make it a curb stomping.

          • Funny game. Starters came out hot, bench caved which is pretty unacceptable against this Knicks team which has been a juggernaut with its starters and has struggled with its bench since we took Quickley.

Then the third Q hit and the juggernaut OG Knicks kicked into gear. I think there were positive signs we could put up a fight against a good team like that but the size killed us yet again. Having a real starting C is crucial, and we really, really don't.

Definitely never need to see Thad play again. I guess its possible they are trying to showcase him but I'd rather showcase Boucher more heavily.

The lowest we can probably get is 6th worst, and there’s good odds that one team will move up into the top 4 from 6 to 10… it could be us, but we also could get bumped out of 6th.

Personally, I would rather this team try to make it into the play-in while still keeping a focus on development. There just too great of a chance of giving the Spurs a good pick.
As they say, this is why they play the games

The Raps have the 6th easiest schedule left. There is a way up.

The problem isn't just jac is out, it's how horribly think this team is at the position. As usual, it's roster construction.
