We've had enough of these one side of the court players. If we are going after a significant piece I really hope it's a two way player. And for that reason, Greg Monroe, you are fired!

Unless its a specialist like Tony Allen or Kyle Korver for the right price, NOMORE ONE TRICK PONY!
Agreed. 2 way players are needed, and if not, more defenders is better than more scorers.

      Maybe just resign Amir then?

Can you trust him to stay healthy enough to perform at a high level?

I would definitely bring Amir back at the right price, but he isn't a long-term answer and is even questionable in the short-term. He is the right kind of player though imo.

hes 25 years old with tremendous upside. love his game. everyone talks about his defense. what about all these guards that rape our pg/sg? if we need an upgrade its in those positions

This guy is also seeking a max contract.

He's seeking a max 'current salary cap' contract, which is going to be a bargain compared to the sort of money that's being thrown around next summer.

The thing I worry about most is pick-and-roll defense. Maybe this is falling into the same logic that made us all fixated on getting a player to stop 'Joe Johnson types' last summer. But seeing Gortat and Wall torch us over and over makes me think that this needs to be addressed. Maybe the problem is more with the guards, maybe it's with the coach and scheme. But it doesn't seem like Monroe would actually improve our P&R defense.

Love to have Greg Monroe here but second best outcome is to see the Knicks get him. We can watch as he and Carmello anchor the Knicks to say a 28W and 54L season that along with Denvers down year lands us a lottery pick in 2016. Just have to keep loving the TML of the NBA the New York Knicks.!!

If the Knicks give the max to Monroe that leaves us a shot at perhaps prying out a very serviceable long term solution at SF with Tobias Harris via offer sheet agreement sign and trade with the Magic. Coming back with him is the equally serviceable Andrew Nicholson who somehow has been shuffled off to a corner in Orlando.
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.
