  • Player Ranking

Thought it would be fun to see how the fan base ranks the team’s players. Not on projected futures but current season output for the Raps. Who is your top five?

    1 Scottie
    2 RJ
    3 Jacob
    4 IQ
    5 Trent

Honourable mentions : Grady Dick, slow start but stringing together a great stretch, Kelly Olynyk, fantastic glue guy that makes the game easier for his team-mates.

By the end of the season Grady and Brown could push guys down the list. Trent is just hanging on by the skin of his teeth for me.

        1. Scottie (obviously)
        2. Jak (underrated contributions night in and night out)
        3. RJ (consistent)
        4. IQ
        5. Dick (shooting 50% from 3 in February over 11 games)

Dick has had a great February! I was pretty down on him early, he’s gained back most of my confidence. I like his energy on both sides of the ball, by seasons end he could bump Gary for me as well.

This is the same for me. I really like more than 5 guys on the team though so was a tough list to make.

Yup ditto. I was thinking of moving RJ ahead of Jak, but the team going 2-9 without him shows how significant he's been.

That’s a good argument to make. Do we go 2-9 if we have a legit back-up centre on the roster at that time? Jakob has been under appreciated though.

If we had KO as the backup we probably still go 2-9, maybe 3-8. I think KO is a legit backup.

Not to under value Jak, but we also had 3 new starters we were trying to integrate on the fly. It's the NBA, you can't just throw shit against the wall and thinks it's going to stick.

                      Scottie
                      IQ
                      RJ
                      Jak
Gradey (He'll be higher next season)

I think IQ is being undervalued somewhat. I'd go:

                        Scottie
                        IQ
                        Jak
                        RJ
                        Gary

Gradey is kicking butt lately and should move into the top 5 easily next season whether Gary is here or not, if he can scale up to taking on opposing starters. RJ is really important to the team as that rim threat, and has been shooting the ball well, but still hard to slot him above the other three in terms of impact. Gary we should appreciate a little more - for all his flaws, he's contributing to a very solid starting group.
