  • Game #79 (hopefully soon to be play-in) Pacers at (some building blocks for your 24/25) Raptors Tuesday April 9th 7:00pm on SN1

    Perhaps you've heard the news?
That once in a lifetime event
that may not happen for another 40 years?

    That's right.
There was no game thread for the Wizards game.
Understandably, things have been a bit upside down here lately

It was all I could do to remember it was Game #79 in this title
    (Narrator: he didn't)

    But yes,
there is some uncertainty around here.
Due to what had been a fairly predictable event,
    (the Raptors losing)
we had switched to a loser goes on model.
But then something that we thought we could count on,
sure as the sun shining in the sky...

    ....changed.

    They won!

    They beat the Bucks!
(hey. that has a nice familiar ring to it)

    Then chaos ensued
    (or apathy...not sure)

    And so, no game thread.

    But we're back!
Because this is a game that needs a thread.
Sure, Pascal is back in town and it will be nice to see him.
    Yadda yadda.
    There's a bigger goal here

    All hands on deck.

Operation "Get the Pacers in the Play-in" is on.

I saw some tweet about us beating the Pacers.
It suggested that with the Nets coming next, we would be in danger of tying Memphis.
    Hooey I say!

We can't do too much to control that first pick.
We could finish 6th and easily get bumped to 7th.
We could finish 7th and jump to the top 4.
    It's beyond our control.

But we're getting the Pacers pick
(unless they fall into the lottery and jump to the top 3 but I'm choosing to ignore that despite it being very Raptorsy)

We need Miami and/or Philly to jump them.
A win by us would help towards that goal.

    But, despite all that hype,
    we will probably lose.
The Pacers have been playing really well lately.

    But I'll still watch.
    'Cause these are our Raptors.
There are only 5 games left.
After that, it's all an empty Scotiabank basketball court.
We won't see them till the fall.
We will miss the way they played.
    The beauty of Raptors basketball....

Do we get another pizza party with a win here? That would be 3 in a row. Impressive that we could tie our best win streak of the season whipe fielding a tank roster.

The fact that Darko has turned the Raptors into a Meme Team should be considered a fireable offense. That's unnecessarily self-inflicted.

Boy you love getting rid of people fast.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Think he took one in the yarbles trying to block a shot under the basket.

Don’t understand the logic of resting IQ tonight so he can play against the Nets tomorrow. Wins don’t matter. Wins against Indiana matter.

Only one thing matters: We The Champs.
