the reason we all here, just because some people not happy about DD/JV made twice in 3 years.
in those eyes there are no different between DD/JV or AB/DD, thats why "rebuild/tank" always the topic here.

Why are so many on here so critical of KL and DD, but JV is talked about as the next great Center in the NBA? The Raps set a team record for wins , in consecutive seasons, and did it on the backs of the 2 guys that most of you want to ship out of town! And JV has proven very little to date other than he is not quick enough and not strong enough to go up against the other centers in the league. He was schooled by Gortat in the playoffs.

Just seems funny to throw KL and DD under the bus while giving JV a free pass ...
Plenty of people here take great joy in throwing JV under the bus, and have for quite awhile! What are you complaining about?!

Some Raps Fans only has Camps on their eyes and aleays wanna Tank and Rebuild,
However, they forget rebuild and tank not guaranteed we will get the no.1 pick, and not guaranteed we will get the next LBJ or KD, or MJ even we got the no.1 pick.

          Bosh (4th pick) + AB7 (1st pick)=2 playoff chances.
          AB7 (1st pick) + DD (10th pick)= 0 playff chances
          DD (10 pick) + JV (5th pick) = 2 playoff chances

Raptors never see shortage of picks in our short history, but camps team neeed a right manager, luck enough to get the high draw pick, pick the right players, hire the right coach, and coach and players do the right job.

as a fans, we can't change any factors above, for example, when we got JV, you said why don't we pick Drummond; when we pick Bosh, end up D wade is better.

so how could some people say we will get stronger after tank and rebuild? Are you the manger, boss, prophet or you tell me you are the Basketball god?
          Good post.

Also, they hate the coach. They don't believe in DD. They're disappointed in Kyle. They're not convinced of JV's progress. He doesn't look like the dominant star they thought he could be, so they're looking for someone else.....

But it's just some people. Most Raptors fans want to watch a competitive team grow and improve until we have the chance at a championship in the near future.

Speak for yourself. This core isn't having any chance at a championship any time soon

I'm more disappointed in Kyle than Demar. If given a choice between trading one, I'd trade Kyle. Point guards shouldn't be ball hogs. Unless you can shoot consistently like Steph Curry, you should never take too many shots! That series vs Wizards showed that they had the superior point guard on both ends. This team is going no where when you have a ball hog point guard. Not to mention his health concerns.

I love Demar, but he can't play SF despite his size. He gets shut down easily if you put a bigger/longer body to guard him. He's the reason imo why Ross has been sucking, as Ross is a natural shooting guard but forced to play SF to accomodate Demar's weakness. But I've seen Demar improve his game yearly like no other so I'm not giving up on him just yet.

With the way Cleveland has been rolling in the East, this team is going no where anytime in the future. We'd be just a perennial first round exit - therefore, I'm in for a rebuild/retool/tanking to get talent

And that is ultimately what it comes down to...

You think there is a SOLID foundation to build upon....or you don't.

You need talent to win. Period.
Its a simple game to explain..... but its one thing to explain it and quite another to attain it.

People would still argue what kind of happy ending they prefer....go for the top right now or the slow, steady build

All I want is a star that I'm excited to watch every game...

There is nobody on the Raps that I am like "OMG I need to watch and see what he will do next"

Even JV, who I think will be a top center in the east for years, and enjoy watching, does not make me have that sort of a reaction.

Someone at the top of a future draft might tho

Thanks for sharing your opinion. You must be psychic.

Who's in the core mr. Psychic? There are only one or two players on this team that I would even consider labelling as part of "the core." All players are up for grabs for the right price. Some obviously have higher values than others.

Some fans are so obsessed with defining "the core." Never mind that the core is usually 1 or 2 players and that can change at any time......Doesn't mean we should tank just because you have a rigid idea of "the core." Players can leave, get injured or just turn out to be overrated. Who knows who Masai considers to be the core? It may be 1 or 2 players or it could be none of them.

So don't scold me with....."this core isn't winning a championship any time soon" bullshit....Who's "the core."? Your core may be different than mine.

As for tanking for great players....

Many great players didn't win championships. Sometimes you run up against Jordan/Olajuwon/Kobe/Duncan/Lebron/Insert next generational talent. It's not as easy as getting a great player. You get a great player and you become a good team. How long will you stay in the draft then? Lebron didn't win one in his first go around in Cleveland and he was there for a long time. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are great players and they haven't won one yet. James Harden and Dwight Howard - Chris Paul and Blake Griffin......Will Anthony Davis win one before he leaves NO in free agency?

Nothing's guaranteed or set in stone either. Just because we move forward with a few players from this team doesn't mean we can never win a championship. That's a defeatist attitude.
